The battery cable wire on the 4th gen is a hair longer than the 5th gen.
Shoot me an email and let me know you want a "combination 4-5 gen kit" and I'll be glad to build you a kit that will fit both cars for the 5th gen price.
Everyone else, I've received several payments today, thank you! Will put them together and ship them out as soon as I can. have one customer car in the shop to work on today and when I get it done I'll get to work on these kits.
If you fish it through the valley in the timing cover like in the pic, it will fit without a problem. just be sure to kinda push it down on the ends as well so that the ends of the cover aren't stressed.
got mine a few days ago and finally came around to installing it, great product i can mainly tell a smoother idle and the 1st gear to 2nd gear change is a bit smoother. nevertheless good product to buy for 45 bucks. everyone that is second guessing, just get it, it is worth the money.
Hmmm, I don't have any record of payment for a 4th gen kit, or anything gen for that matter in clear red from today or yesterday.
sales@mattblehm.com was the address you sent it to?

Matt, I'm very interested, and ready to buy, but I would like a picture of EACH color, whether it's clear or not. Your picture on page 1 doesn't show ALL the possiblities your are offering. Also, please show a picture of one of your copper connection rings. I think that is not asking to much, and it would take a lot of the guesswork of what color I/people will order.
Thank you.

I got my ground kit today along with some other stuff from matt. The packaging itself showed alot of care and that it wasnt all just thrown in there. Then once i sorted thru the packing material and found the wiring kit i was ready to go. I went and put the kit on with no problems at all. I went and test drove the car and it was amazing how much those wires will do! The transmission was alot smoother and downshifted at a more appropriate time. All i can say is thanks so much!!!

The only color not shown in that picture is solid black, and we all know what solid black looks like. To infer what you're saying above, you seem to act like I'm trying to hide something or cover up for poor products. Look at the reviews of the kit in this thread and you'll obviously see everyone is happy with them.
I'll try to get some pics of the various wire colors posted tomorrow or something, but I've got a huge pile of stuff I need to package and ship, and about 25 ground kits to make. (and if you've ever crimped, soldered and shrink wrapped 150+ wires before, then you understand what sore arms mean!)
the rings I use are tin plated copper- the same grey looking ones that you buy anywhere else, but they're 4 and 8 awg sizes appropriate for these connections. they're crimped, soldered, then shrink wrapped to prevent oxidation inside the connector and the wire itself..
there are some pics of an old kit on my website, but the newer rings are much better quality..

frankieduxAE, Ri-Max, and any other people that aren't sure on payment, please give me your email address and/or full name and I look look through my Paypal records.
I've had a LOT of transactions in the last few weeks and some might have slipped through the cracks, but I'm 95% sure I have everyone down that's paid. I have about 15 kits that will be going out tomorrow and the next day, so if you've paid and I have confirmed receipt, it will be shipped out tomorrow.
If I haven't confirmed receipt, please send me your name, .org username, email address, and/or a copy of your paypal receipt (Paypal mails you one as well when you send me money).. That will help me track down any that have been lost in the system.
MrRogerStatus, unfortunately I don't have any places locally that sell yellow wire. I'll check with my supplier again in a few days when I go to pick up some parts, but as of a few months ago they didn't have it and weren't planning on carrying it.

AllMaxxedOut... I got your payment and confirmed it via email last night at 12:15... Thank you.
i35_2002, welcome to the .org! good place for a first post!
Unfortunately I'm not set up to take credit card payments, but I do take Paypal... You can sign up for an account with them and use your MC there to send me money.
If you'd rather do check or money order, I can accept that as well.

I simply asked a question. If I thought you had a poor product, why would I say I'm ready to order one? I was only uncertain of the colors. I was under the impression that for each color you show in the pic, you have a clear version; hence why I asked for pics of all the colors. Clearly, (no pun intended) I guess that's not the case though. LOL James
Sorry about that.. had a late night and customers whining at me because they waited months to order something and now complaining that I'm out of stock and it'll take a while to rebuild.. I went off on you for it...
I offer the red and black in clear and solid versions, and then I also have blue and silver in clear only.
Maximo-se, yes these kits work on the 5.5 gens as well. SOME 5th gens have a slightly different grounding point on the tranny case instead of the engine block, but the kit will work with both spots. you jsut have to run the wires slightly differently.
I will provide instructions with the kit.
paypal is sales@mattblehm.com. thanks!

That's exactly the case I'm talking about, but I've heard of the same issues on some 2000 and 2001 models, so I don't think it's 5.0/ 5.5 gen specific. I'm guessing Nissan just had Billy Bob instead of Joe Blow working the on assembly line the day the cars were made, and the put the ground cable on the engine in a different spot.
I've never personally seen or installed a kit with the other main grounding point, so if someone can email me some pictures of the other points, I'll be glad to add them to the instructions.
If you do indeed see a difference in the 5.5 gen stuff as well, please let me know what they are and I can address the issue. I've looked through the FSM for all models from 2000-2003 and they're all identical on the grounding points, but I've never personally been under the hood of a 5.5 and compared..
Sooo, if there's any differences or problems, please let me know and I'll make sure the kits are corrected to fit both or I can make two kits- either way I'd rather the thing fit right than make customers rig it to fit. Up until now I've been told they fit fine so I'd never worried about it.

That looks like the factory ground runs to there as well? If so, then that's fine.. those are the two grounding points I've seen on these cars, and it seems to be almost random on which cars have which grounding point.

Thanks again Matt
