I don't think there's anything wrong with the Apexi filters, they seem to be pretty good (I wouldn't take one of those off to put one of these on unless it was worn out). Comparing it to the Monsterflow, I'd probably go with whichever had the lower price.

The Monsterflow and K&N filters we're selling will fit over any MAF adapter that has s 3" neck. I'm trying to remember exactly what we figured was the restrictive part of the Frankencar. I think the tube's OK, but it seemed like there was something we couldn't figure out about the filter/adapter assembly that bolted to the MAF. Does someone have a picture that shows that configuration with the little filter that comes with their kit?

Read the reply just above this one, which pretty much covers your question.

No pics, but the way it's set up is...a rubber tube spacer connects the mid pipe to the TB, then another rubber tube spacer connects the mid pipe to the MAFS, then a aluminum adapter plate attached to the apexi filter meets up with the MAFS. Rubber ring gasket in between the two.

EDIT: I went out and took a look at my intake setup, cause this is bugging me. Never noticed til now but, the two rubber spacers that are on both sides of the mid pipe seems to connected at a sharp 15 degree angle, on both sides, hense not giving the setup a smooth flow. Maybe that was the hp killer you saw?

oh yeah, you guys wouldn't happen to have any hybrid intakes in stock would you? and for the cattman cai, do you need to cut a hole in the fender? i read something about cutting your fender for cai and not too keen on that ^_-. so i'm thinking of going hybrid or injen maybe since i'm auto trans. and is getting a injen cai really disadvantageous or something? i heard it wasn't a real cai.

u dont need to cut for a cattman, but you would need to make that hole for the place racing cai. injens arent real cais, but the place racings are. Injen is performance and looks. frankencar and berk are wai but they produce pretty good results. I havent read about the place racing intake as much so i cant help you there.

hope this helps

OH YEAH, thanks brian, i got my monsterflow. that thing looks real good.

I just called in to try and order the full CAI for my 2k, but you guys are out of stock.

Just wondering if with all these discounts you plan to make us a deal on the full CAI's? (Please drop the price a little, it would really help with my decision to buy right now ) Let me know when you get some more in as I would like to purchase before I go back to school (couple weeks).

obviously you don't have a cattman...because if you knew anything cattman = place racing --> both require cutting

Unless someone decides to manufacture them again, there will be no more of these CAIs after they're all sold (we're already sold out of the 00-03 and slowly running out of the rest). Place Racing has basically ceased to exist.

Yep, we've still got plenty of these, and with a 3" opening I assume they fit the Berk intake, but you'll need to confirm that.

Brian-

I won the $50 Cattman cert at the CE meet last weekend. Do I cash that in with you or do I have to go through CE? I wanted to snag one of those monster flow filters and a can of that tack.
