Have you guys considered making a hood with a functional/tasteful hood scoop that has a port/tunnel that sends outside air directly over an aftermarket intake?

ViS hoods take the OEM hood struts. What kind of hood is this? Does it have rolled edges?

We are still waiting for pics. That is what I asked also about the rolled edges. Why did you take your hood off.

My ViS had holes for the OEM struts. I sold my hood because I needed money.

did u buy it straight from VIS? b/c they told me they didn't drill the holes b/c the struts would crack the hood probably and push the hood up ...so the fitment wouldn't look right...

The edges ar enot rolled. you get a better fitment when the edges of the hood is not rolled.

Is it cheaper to ship it to a commercial address or home address....

How much would shipping cost for 07936 NJ?

Will I be able to install it myself?

Let me know the total and where to send the money too.

To answer a few question, grade a carbon fiber is used. It would be
better if installed by a shop, you need at least another person to help
u install it. Plus I would recommend everyone get hood pins also.

redmax - how much would it be to get them with rolled edges.(I understand about fitment) But I have noticed that the hoods without rolled edges the edges start to chip away easier than the rolled edges.

Looks like it says SUPRA (not the car, the company) on the hood. Also looks like it takes the stock hood struts. The edges don't look rolled though.

THAT WOULD BE A ROLLED EDGE.

some people would say nothing but I have seen for myself a non rolled and a rolled cf hood and the NON rolled the clear chipped alot faster than the rolled, also the cf goes aroung the edge of the hood. That is why I asked if we can get them rolled.

It is my preference and the only company that seems to make it that way is VIS.

Polak - how has your hood stood up with rolled edges.

I sold it after about 3 weeks...I needed the money. I might be buying another one though. ViS is the one I'm looking at again.

Another difference with non rolled gives you the ability to tirm for a perfect fit. I believe Fiber Images are non rolled but don't make a hood for us.

Thats what I will be looking to VIS to get the rolled unless some other company makes it like VIS for cheaper.
