i'm aware, but being in college means i don't really have time or a place to take out and bake my taillights, at least not when i only have one set. having a deal like this on red/clears makes them worth spending money on, as they're nearly HALF what they normally cost; and since i DO like the dtm mod, and since cm has a new product (new to me, anyway) which replicates that style, i figured i'd see if i could get those cheap as well. i've held off on getting/modding my taillights (ideally doing the dtm) since i've had the car because $170 + shipping is WAY too much, i think, so it was either wait for a gd or for a situation where i could bake my tails easily, and this came first.

I apologize i havn't visit the CE website in some time and i wasnt aware they had the new product. hopefully the can get a deal going on those to cuz those would look sick on a black max cough cough....lol

 

Are the smoked taillights that are offered on CE the same as the DTM mod

 

they look like they have a smoked diffuser, rather than the dtm mod, where we take the diffuser out and paint the housing. remember, we don't know if they're included in the deal yet... and i wouldn't count on it.

Sorry it took me so long to reply to you guys, been real busy lately. I'll try to answer each question:

southeast_first - The new smoked lights are a new product so our cost is pretty high for now. We can however offer a Maxima.org discount on them. Can't do the $95 shipped but can do $125 shipped. Our cost is about $30 higher for the smoked, so you are getting a similar discount. Only have a couple sets left, they are selling quick and look HOT on darker color Maximas. I hope our cost will drop in the coming months therefore we can offer this price on them then.

sickmax - That was a typo Roger made, sorry about that. I wish that we could sell them that cheap but that is WAY below our cost. $95 shipped is still a good deal right?

Just wanted to compliment CE on the customer serivce. I just ordered a set of the tails. I talked to Nick and he was great. Very friendly made suggestions of bulbs (ex. polarg) to use. The whole process to less the 5 min to order he said that they should ship at the end of this week. I cant wait to get them and i will deffinately be calling CE in the future. Thanks guys.

Yeah, I too talked to Nick and the service by CE was great. Ordered my clear corners and the bumper lights as well as the clear tails and got them within two days. Can't wait for the tails to finally come in. I will def order from them again.

D@mn I didn't know this was back,I have been driving around like almost a month with the ugly 95 outer and 97 inner, You should have email the people that was interest in the last GD,but the GD never made it.Anyway I'll be calling tommorow for sure to place an order,hopefully I'll have it sooner then I hope.

 

Last time I checked I was able to hear. I was simply stating what was said to me. Also I was simply using the conversation as a compliment to CE and its staff. So next time think before you type.

Nice but I did it myself. I just want LEDs in them so I don't have to worry about them burning out. Plus the LEDs look nicer when they are on. CE should make LED 97-99 tail lights. Or atleast sell the kit so we can do it ourselves.

I am a little confused. I was told you had no lights in stock and my Credit Card would be charge when you did. This sounds like you have some in stock. My Credit Card still has not been charge by you guys as if the lights have not even arrived yet. WHAT'S THE DEAL HERE????

 

They must not have them in. They probably already sold out and they are waiting on their new inventory but your credit card will not be charged until they are shipped out

 

Glad I ordered mine when I did. Just got them today. Can't wait to finally install them this weekend. Pretty quick delivery considering it was only shipped yesterday.

Got them today and installed in 20 mins

 

got mine in today also... only thing is the small side marker doesnt match the rest of the red lights so i left it white... that and for some reason the old ones would not come out so i ended up braking them.. new ones went in so easy
