I cant say Ive heard too much about these springs:
H&R SPORT SPRING: MAXIMA 04-UP Item # HR-53061
$257 SHIPPED
(H&R Sport Springs for Nissan Maxima 04-UP -1.4" Drop (FR) & -1.3" Drop (RR))
What is the overall difference in these and the Progress set? Also, How in the world to you lower the rear 1.3"...? It would have to rub constantly.... Im in the market for lowering my ride and I would like your opinion on the best suited setup you have. Im also on 20's if that matters... Please PM me or post some advice when you have time.. Thanks Mike

Hey automax..do u have h&r wheel spacer item: HR3065662? It is the 15mm one. is this the one u send out to everyone? b/c i know theres a HR30656621 which has a 12.85mm stud instead of 14.25 like the other. please let me know. Id like to purchase a set from you. whats the price on these and a paypal adress?
Sorry for the ignorance but why is it highly recommended? Will something break? If it's just more performance enhancing I can understand. I just don't want to start something and then find out I just bought the least expensive part of a three stage must complete set up.
besides the performance, stock shocks are made for stock springs, if the spring(aftermarket spring rate/heights) is different than stock and is much shorter your oem struts will not LAST as long compareing with using OEM springs.
And no, nothing will break.

Then..........one shop told me I may need a camber kit as well.
Does that sound correct?

Last question.......I hope. When the springs are replaced, do the struts have to be taken out as part of the spring installation process. If so, and the struts are a good complement to the springs, it might make sense to get it all replaced at once.

there is at least a dozens of post about the comparison between tein and k-sport... all of the post is very informative.. is best if you check them out.
I don't have coilover on my current car and seriously I wouldn't trade my current suspension setup for anything. I just love the ride. And coilover is not necessary for street driving, especially if the road is messy you would hate your coilover...(from my past expereince)

Yes the strut assembly have to be taken out which means strut will have to be taken out also for spring replacement. ANd yes it will make more sense if you get everything swap out all together. But some shop will still charge you extra for strut installation.
For example, let said if I were having only my springs replace, local shop down here in L.A charges about $100 and I also wanted the strut to get replace, they would charge me any where from $50-$100 extra for the strut replacment. So it doesn't matter if i have both install at the same time, because I would have to pay almost the same amount any how.
