I assume these are designed for the standard 9004 bulbs (I mean the reflector design).

It would be awesome if we could get these with a 9007-based reflector design. Then a 9007 conversion would yield a great gain in light output (just an idea for you guys). Keep up the great work and awesome prices!

Great idea, I will pass that onto the factory and see what they say.

I, too, would definately purchase headlights that are 9007 reflector ready as i have already done the mod, im sure there would be great interest in this as not many people have the money or time to do the projector retrofit project.

I'm down for 9007 based. With this kind of price, that would be a great GD. I'm sure other members would like to see this kind of GD. Keep us updated.

I'm interested but could you please explain the exact differences between these and the stock '97-'99 headlights? What makes them "more crystal"? Thanks.

I am not sure if I would say they are more crystal then the stock ones, but they do have the same "mirrored" backing and clear front lens.

Hmmmm... you just told me how they are the same as the '97-'99 lights. My question was how are the different?

Directly from your website:
"Similar to the 1997-1999 Maxima headlights just more of a crystal look."

Thus, my original question: What makes them "more crystal"?

Thanks.

I compared them to the stock headlights and these seem to have more of a reflector type of backing which from a distance gives it more of a crystal look. Obviously some people may disagree, but in my opinion it is more of a crystal look from a distance.

It's just like diamond cut clear bumper lights vs non diamond cut. The diamond cut looks better than non diamond cut

Well myself personally would want to go with a reputable source. And that would be Custom Enterprise. The quality on their parts is very good. And looking at the bigger picture, why would you want glass headlights. God forbid a flying rock from a tractor trailer or something to that effect should hit them, it's a wrap for those and will then need a new set. Just my $.02.

just so EVERYBODY knows, 95-96 headlights are glass, thus they are thicker and are not clear. Yet they will not yellow or cloud over with time. (and they do not shatter from rocks 'AllMaxxedOut')

97-99 headlights are plastic and IMO do look a lot nicer. However, it is well known that they tend to yellow over time. Yet the yellowing can easily be taken care of with a simple solution and some scrubbing.

Now are these any better then the 97-99s? Honestly, I doubt it. The plastic lights look AMAZING after being scrubbed, and it would be hard to make them look any better then the way they do.

As for a replacement for 95-96s, I recommend them for the alternative look.

P.S. If you can get an additional GD on corners, i might just jump in on this.

Hey guys got an update for you. I was misinformed, these lights are in fact high tempered glass not plastic. Been doing some research on these and it appears that the high tempered glass on the headlights is more durable the the plastic used on some other aftermarket headlights. The overall quality is very good and I think you will all be impressed. Got a few sets left in stock and will still be discounting them and offering free shipping to maxima.org members.
Thanks,
Greg

So you are saying that these are just as quality of glass as the 95-96 housing but with a clear projection screen with mirror reflectors..?

If thats the case, hit it up with a review set.. I'll test it out for myself..

Oh - just to complete my original thought. It would be useful for them to make sure the socket is also designed for a 9007 bulb - so we don't have to file any nubs and all that nonsense. Basically offer this light or an equivalent that is exclusively designed for a 9007 bulb application.

If you do get the factory to buy into the idea, then you can write me down for the first set (test fit or whatever).. I'm in!

Would the maxima community be what it is today if CE never existed?

I dont wanna sound like a jerk but I see the corners on ur site for 59 and its 7dollars shipping to me, plus the 150 shipped headlights totals 216 so 225 isnt really a deal. Also would you have the black corners to compliment the black housing headlights?

Whoops, when I calculated the price I forgot to figure in the headlight sale price. Make that group buy price $199 shipped.........sound better

Let me know....sorry for the confusion.
