Radiator Cooling Panels
I have plans to make a hi-quality fiberglass version (not the cheap strand looking ones you see on low quality body kits).
Almost done working out a deal for other gens. Just stayed tuned.

I never really paid attention to the front grills of a 95-96 and a 97-99....what the difference in them??? b/c if the difference isn't anything major then I'll get it. And if not...will it work if I have 97-99 grill with the cefiros???? Does anyone know?

ACEEMaxima: There are very subtle differences, you'll have to ask in the 4th gen forum from members that have done the swap.

I'm not sure of the physical differences between the two pieces. If you can wait a bit, I can hopefully have a 95-96 production piece made. This way you won't have to hack up a perfectly good piece
Payment received, thank you. There shouldn't not be any issues whatsoever. If any problems arise, let me know and you will be taken care of.
The USPS priority mail doesn't have a tracking number but I will let you know when it ships out.

Larry,
I attempted to install mine last night. The fitment is pretty bad. Is it suppose to follow the curve of the grill? If so, it's not so good. I'll take some pics and post up.
Anyone else install theirs yet? If so, post up some closeups please.

Hmm.. the template i've had hasn't changed. I've also tested fitted previous pieces locally with no problems. They were cut together, stacked up so if one doesn't fit they all shouldn't fit.
Please note the "step" on the front grill (picture shows 95-96 maxima)

Pics as promised.
Anyone else care to share??? Anyone else having problems???
Pic 1. CF panel lined up on top most step and left and right edges... It does not flow with the grill. Also, IIRC, this doesn't work once grill in back in the car because the back of the CF panel hits stuff. It must be moved forward. That creates another problem... See pics 4, 5, and 6

Pic 2 close up on left side

Pic 3 close up on right side

Pic 4 CF panel moved forward to attempt to line up with lower "step" of grill at left and right edges. As a result, the midde does not flow with the curvature of the grill. Also, the tabs that would mount the CF panel to the grill fall on the "step" and won't work.

Pic 5 Close up of left side...

You have to be creative. I just had this same exact panel on my car before and it doesnt just sit there, and thats it. You have to me creative about it. Just slide it under the lip of the rad support and zip tie the two corners to it. Leave the front of it unattached. That's how I had it. No biggie.

Sorry TJ, but that's
Who wants to look at holes of where the push tabs are supposed to go, and zipties towards the back to secure it... Do you see your zipties???

Sorry I don't have better pics, but mine were just like this. I'm gonna be honest here, everytime I popped my hood no one said, "dude, wtf u have holes, etc". The panel looks good no matter how it's installed IMO. But I guess you're a super perfectionist about things like that?. I'm installing it the same way I had it before. I liked it.
. Woot! The right side shows how I just zip tied it. The left side shows plumbers tape down to where my airhorns are. This was a perfect cover for them.
Okay, i'm back. I got back too late yesterday and couldn't concentrate on the issue.
Mr. Wizard: I think that you may be installing the piece slightly off and hence the panel is having a hard time fitting. The panel shouldn't hit anything because it tucks under the radiator support.
EDIT: please read my bottom post.

Mr. Wizard: after studying your pictures longer, what you are referring to as a defect is actually just a design mis-interpretation.
The middle portion of the panel is flattened from the curve of the bumper as to not stick out when the hood is closed. I just took a look at a local 4th gen that had this on his car. If the panel "flowed" along the bumper, you would see if wedged between the rubber weather stripping and the bottom of the hood. So as you can see, when the sides line up properly the middle portion is trimmed back to retain clearance. And there is plenty of room under the radiator support for the shroud to sit with nothing in its way.
If you still unsatisfied with this answer, please let me know. Thank you
