96 Maxima Hi Beam Problem

I would like to know has anyone else in the forum had encountered a problem with the 9k Bi-Xenon Kit. I have a 96 Max, and after installing the kit the light only work on low beam, when I flip on the Hi Beam switch. The fuse blows. After carefully reading through all the posts on this forum I know I'm not the only one who's had that problem. What I would like to know is if there is a solution. MaximaBest suggested I send an email, but I've sent like 3-4 emails to him already. I was wondering did anyone else find a way to fix there's. I'm greatful for any feedback I can get

well sorry i was out so i didnt reply your emails. Is important that you can identify the polarity of your car. Its easy, check the with a tester and you will need to see which wire is the positive of the high beam, the low beam and the ground. After that you need to check the wires on the socket, the red/white are the positive of the low beam and the blue are the pos. of the high beam, then the black the ground. Some times its easy you just need to put the pins in the correct position. Sometimes maximas has different polarity and there is the issue with the fuse blowing.

Regards,

Any pictures showing the difference between the 6k and 9k bi-xenon kits? I'm really really really in doubt of which one to buy...

And also, one more question... I have H4s on my car right now... would I be able to upgrade those to H7s just by changing the wiring harness since i heard the light output is much much better on them?

I currently have the umnitza h3 mini kit for my fogs so im sure it should work with your mini's as well correct? I just need the bulbs since one is damaged. Also, just want to make sure the small & mini produce the same amount of light since lets say d2s and d2r have a bit of difference in output. Thank you.

Well I see we are in the same boat. I think this is something that should be mentioned when you try to buy the Bi-Xenon kit. If I would have known that I was getting this much trouble with the Bi-Xenon, I would have just bought the regular low beam ones alone and save myself a few dollars.

hi there men, well is easy like this, you can test the stock wires and identify which one is the + of the low beam, the high beam and ground, after that you reinstall the pins on the kit socket and you have the kit working. Maximas has 2 differnent setups(i dont know why) so some costumers need to do that, some other doesnt.

Regards,
