Don't blame you for feeling that way, I cooked up this sale last night. Give me a call, let's see if we can make some adjustment.

Is the progress/cattman coilovers for A32 max a direct bolt on? And what are the spring rates on those CO's?

Yes, we ship a lot of parts to Canada. I wish the shipping prices were the same, but we'll need to charge an additional $15 ($169.99) to cover the extra cost on an RSB. That would be for shipping via USPS/Canada Post.

We've only got a couple 95-99 mufflers in stock and when we get that low they're only sold as part of a complete catback.

If you'd like to place a backorder, the price would be $325 minus your maxima.org discount - $308.75 - plus shipping, which would be just $17.88, a total of $326.63. A backorder puts your name on the next batch, which should be aready in 2-3 weeks. We do not charge the CC till the parts ready to ship.

alright, gotcha. i'll let you know if i'm ready to bite the rice bullet in a few weeks.

in the meantime, i've been wondering for awhile... what's the design of the tip? I've seen what looks like two different designs... the thickish tip with rounded end and perforated interior and what looks like just a thin tip with a flat/sharp end currently on your website..

Let us know whenever you're ready.

We've been using the "thickish tip with rounded end and perforated interior" on our 95-99 mufflers for quite a while with good results. I like that style for a single tip, but when it comes to dual tips I still prefer the simple, clean effect of the single wall, slightly angle-cut, polished stainless tips we use on the 00-03 exhaust.

That would be $89, shipped, for the pair. You needed two rather than one, right? If you can find a better deal elsewhere, of course we'd understand.

How much am I looking at for the resonator shipped to 94132? And I hate to force you to bring a comparison but in your personal opinion would your product more effectively quiet down my universal magnaflow muffler than a 27" magnaflow resonator?

Total cost, shipped, is $92.59.

Since I established all of the specifications for the resonator we have custom made, I'm very familiar with it, but I know practically nothing about the 27" magnaflow unit so I couldn't make a knowledgeable comparison, sorry about that.

I'll note a couple things though. Ours is all stainless steel, from the outside casing, to the stainless wool packing, and the inner perforated tube. That all adds up to a longer lifespan than designs that use non-stainless metals, and fibreglass-type packing, but this does not necessarily apply to the Magnaflow unit.

Perhaps more significant would be the 27" length. I'm not sure there's enough room for that unit on the 95-03 Maximas. We went with 22" x 4" because we knew it would fit, but there isn't much room left. Not saying the 27" unit won't fit, but you'd want to be certain before making that purchase. If your car is any 95-98, or a 99/00 w/ Federal emissions, you'll need to allow room for an O2 sensor port at the forward end of the b-pipe (ahead of the resonator). Also, a 27" resonator would typically be intended for trucks, which is only an issue if the diameter of the body is too large. I would be concerned about the fit of anything over about 4" in diameter - the exhaust moves around a fair bit while you drive and you don't want it to rattle.

Hope this is useful.

Thanks for your input Brian. I understand what you're saying about the fitment, I was measuring the piping the other night and I realized I wouldn't be able to install one without hacking into the B-Pipe. So the 22" resonator will allow enough room for the O2 sensor bung? I'm more than likely placing an order for the resonator, is it possible to pay via PayPal? Send me a PM with info, if possible. Thanks again.

Ordinarily I'd say that if we received before 2pm, same day. If after, next day. I wondered why you were asking that because I hadn't received an email prompt from PayPal. Glad you wrote, because I see your payment arrived yesterday. No idea why I never got the email, that's never happened before.

Anyway, now I know the payment's received, it will ship tomorrow!

will the 02/03 Y-pipe fit the stock headers? and do you think the fastcat or the random tech cat would be better fitment/sound/flow?

EDIT: you can beat Tirerack.com? hell, I'm like 10 seconds away from ordering up some Gram Lights and trying out those new Goodyear F1 All Seasons. . I think I'm going to need to call you up brian.

Sorry that happened, but DHL and USPS are the only shippers we use for shipments w/in the US., and its too late to arrange an USPS pickup for tomorrow. We get pretty good results from DHL, its unlikely that this will happen again.

Actually. the 02/03 y-pipe bolts to the pre-cats under the stock headers (they both stay on, none of the cats are removed with an 02/03 y-pipe is installed), and its a direct bolt-on.

No street-legal cat available as a bolt-on for the Maxima flows like our all-metal FastCat, and the RT cat with a ceramic core isn't even close. In fact, our dyno tests showed the ceramic RT cat won't perform as well as the stock Calsonic cats that Nissan used up through at least 2003. The FastCat beats stock by at least 5whp, and several customers have called to tell us their dyno results were substantially more. There are other all-metal cats out there, but they're not EPA-approved for legal street use so there's no guarantee they'll pass emissions.

ABsolutely, please give us a call. We set up a wholesale account at TireRack recently to snag the last set of Brembo Gran Turismos for a customer. [I say last set because supposedly this was the last set of GT's for the Maxima in North America, perhaps the world, and Brembo says they aren't planning to make more.]

The margins we get from TireRack aren't great, but they're enough for us to offer a slightly better price than theirs.

So, might as well order from Cattman, we've never seen TireRack do anything for the Maxima world or maxima.org., eh?

We use this resonator in all of our catbacks - its why we had it made - so there's plenty of room for the O2 ports on our 95-99 and 00-03 b-pipe designs.

PayPal's fine, I'll send a PM with our payment address.

We do sell the Tokico line, although it's a challenge to match some of the online pricing. Tokico and KYB have been severely undercutting their own distributor networks by selling under wholesale to large volume internet resellers.

Anyway, we can do the Tok-Ills and Progress springs for $675 + shipping (or just the springs at the sale price).

No, the Combo intake combines a Place Racing upper tube (between throttle body and MAF) with a JWT POP intake (a short-ram intake that doesn't require a fender hole).

I'll mention that as a group, the main problem with short ram intakes is that they create a lot of turbulance, which buffets the hotwire, causing a very erratic signal from the MAF to the ECU. That's not a good thing because it reduces gas mileage and performance, and it's why the JWT POP intake is the only short ram intake design we can recommend. The big, cast-aluminium velocity stack (that the filter clamps around) reduces turbulance drastically.

It may not be in the Cattman Weekly Sale ad, but also be aware that we still have the Place Racing CAIs for 95/96 Maximas. This is the most effective intake ever made for that car, but it does require cutting a 3.25" hole so the filter can be placed outside of the engine compartment (basically behind and a bit lower than the drivers-side headlight. Price is $210/kit.

Either way, you can order by calling 520.575.6195 between 9-5 MST/PDT, M-F.
