Not so sure i know what the energy suspension bushings do. I have a 6th gen and want to upgrade my motor mounts. Are these bushings a full replacement ofthe rubber on the inside of the mount or are they in-addition to?? Better alternative than the Racingline MMI's ?

Total price, including $50.10 shipping, would be $640.09.

They help stabilize the front-to-rear movement of the engine in its mounts. The ES bushings are solid "barrels" or polyurethane and require removal of the stock bushings. I had information that indicated that these ES mounts, originally intended for the 95-03 Maximas, crossed over to at least some of the 2004+ Maximas, but a customer recently found that a mount with a hole too large for the ES set, so we need figure out the applicability in detail before we sell any more.

As far as inserts vs solid bushings, there are probably advantages and disadvantages to both. Inserts are easier to install (and we know they fit the 04+ mounts!) and probably transmit a bit less vibration through the chassis (although the ES isn't bad at all) but if I was doing a serious motor build or turbo project, had a manual transmission or beefed-up auto capable of putting a more abrupt shock through the drivetrain, and/or drag-raced seriously, I'd prefer a solid set.

Anyway, I know they're still in the ad, but we'll be doing a bit of research before we actually sell anymore for a 6th gen Maxima.

Sorry, but I don't care for designs that get squeezed between the high VQ35DE intake manifold and the hood, and I don't see anything else out there. We used to make a titanium FSTB that angled back slightly so it went behind the high point of the IM and fit just right, but the titanium supplier and the machine shop that made it possible went out of business, so that was the unfortunate end of that. We still have a few for 89-94 Maximas...

Absolutely. At this time, with restrictions on credit and other issues coming from the downturn in the economy, we're being cautious about our producton levels before the end of the year. We're basically not taking any new parts into production unless we have an order log (or at least a long waiting list) to support them.

Of course, Cattman y-pipes for 95-03 Maximas are not "new" parts, but they've been out of production for quite a while, so we look at the same factors when deciding to make them again. I have long waiting lists for the 95-99 and 00/01 Cattman y-pipes, but very little for the 02/03 Maxima (5.5 gen), although I know there has been interest expressed on this forum.

I'd encourage anyone looking for 5.5 gen y-pipes to give us a call and place a backorder so we can put some weight behind this project. We can be reached at 800.759.9920 (continental US except AZ), 888.296.5153 (Canada and AZ) or 520.575.6195, open 9-5 MST, M-F.

The Cattman FastCat is a high performance catalytic convertor we fabricate for the 97-03 Maxima and 97-04 I30/I35.

We start with a 300-cell, all metal substrate in an extra-long spun stainless-steel case that tapers gradually at the ends to minimize the turbulance that occurs when tubing diameters change. Thick 3/8" carbon steel flanges are nickle-plated to prevent corrosion and then TIG-welded to the ends of the cat.

This heavy-duty cat is EPA-approved for OBDII vehicles up to 6500lbs, in all states except CA (though it should pass Cali emissions).

We've seen 4-5+whp performance results, it varies with the condition of the cat its replacing. Like all Cattman exhaust parts, you won't find anything out there with this set of features.

Wow, don't know how I missed these questions... Sorry about that, its not like we don't need the business! I'm replying on 01 November, but most October sale prices still apply.

OK, I have that part in stock (also fits 04-08 Maximas w/ 6MT and CVT trannies). The y-pipe is $360.99 and you can choose between USPS/Canada Post delivery for $45.26 (you only pay GST/PST on delivery) or UPS for $42.13 (you pay brokerage and other fees - that we have no way to determine - plus GST/PST).

I'm not sure which Maxima generation(s) these are for, but I'll give you all the options, based on the October sale price (still good):

2 sets, both 4th and/or 5th gen - $309.99/springs and $59.24 shipping
2 sets, one set is 4th or 5th gen and one is 6th gen - $299.99/springs and $57.85 shipping
2 sets, both 6th gen - $289.99/springs and $56.46 shipping

Give us a call if you'd like to pick these up, all types are in stock and can be shipped same day. Our office hours are 9-5MWT, M-F but I'll definitely pick up the phone when I'm in the office over the weekend too.

Give us a call if you'd like to get on the YG5CA y-pipe list - or PM me with your real name, phone and email address - we're getting ready to make a batch.

There's practically no overlap between installing a y-pipe and installing the cat/catback. We have cats and 4th gen catbacks in stock right now at fairly deep sale prices that won't likely be available when the y-pipes are ready. I know it sounds good to get everything at once, but you will get a better deal if you move on the cat and catback now (October sale prices still apply to these parts). I plan to produce y-pipes before the end of the year, but it will still be several weeks.

I'll be glad to provide a quote, just need a bit more information. What year of Maxima is this for? If the stock exhaust is rusting off, I'll guess a 00-03 Maxima, but let me know for sure and I'll send quote.

Whoops, sorry about that. Yes, it's a 2001 SE; I replaced the muffler last year, and have finally gotten around to working on my car again; I took a peek underneath the car last night, and the flex-portion of the y-pipe is torn and cracked, and the resonator has a 4" gash running across the underbelly.

So, I might as well as replace the whole thing.

$129.99 for the bar and just 11.95 for shipping, a total of $141.94 and one of the best performance investments you can make.

Just give us a call, we take almost all orders by phone. BTW, check the group deal section because I just posted a new "Fall" sale ad. Thanks for your interest!, and the exhaust parts you're looking for are mentioned there.
