Yes, NGK doesn't have aftermarket coils for the 4th gen.

Just got the response, sorry it was late:

range of useable gap.

how many spark plugs are needed on a 98 maxima and how much am i saving compared to buying from a store, especialyl since i am in canada and the exchange rate is pretty bad for us right now for cad to usd?

There are no wires available for the 2003 Maxima since they are a Coil-on-plug type ignition.
