The gains for the 00-01 Maxima VQ30DEK Kit will be very similar to the 95-99 Maxima VQ30DE Kit. You will notice a pretty decent increase in throttle response and a smoother power band. Everyone who has installed this kit has experienced better top end HP, similar to the 95-99 VQ30DE Dyno Comparison we've done.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.
Has anyone dynoed this yet? I feel like the gains compared to a 95-99 will be less since the DEK already has the composite manifold that doesn't retain as much heat. Can anyone comment?

Sorry. I have not seen a dyno on the 00-01 Maxima. But the people that have installed these spacers on the VQ30DEK manifold have reported gains in the exact same spots as shown on the 95-99 Maxima dyno comparison. If the butt dyno can pick up a performance increase, then in my opinion, it's easily worth it.

I have installed the kit on my DEK build engine and should be starting the engine in the next few weeks. I think the kit will help to lower the DEK temp because the heat come from below and the LIM is made of aluminum so without the spacer there is a good amount of heat that is transfer to the composite Upper Intake manifold.

Aaron, I apologize for the noob question in advance but (just so I understand) what substitutes the 4th gen TB spacer on the 00-01 kit (if needed)?

It's ok. Ask away.

Since the manifold is so different from the 4th gen, the TB Spacer will not work. So the 00-01 Maxima kit does not come with a TB Spacer. That is the reason for the price being lower than the 4th gen kit. Please let me know if you have any more questions.

It seems as though someone should have dyno'd this product by now, for all the interest shown. Unfortunately I cannot justify spending the money without some numbers, I am highly interested in purchasing though! Waiting for dyno sheet...

Yes, the Spacers will work. But if you have a MEVI, you will want the kit made for the 4th gen Maxima, which includes a TB Spacer as well.

Here is a link to the kit you'll want for your 4th gen:
http://www.nwpengineering.com/Phenol...rs.html#VQ30DE

Also, here are some reviews from guys with the Spacers and MEVI:
http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...p-spacers.html
http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...ed-w-mevi.html

Please let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks.

Yes, definitely. You will notice gains very similar to the 4th gen Maxima. You will notice a much smoother powerband as well as better midrange and top end HP. And even though your upper intake manifold is made of plastic composite, you will still notice a temperature reduction in the manifold. Plus, your aluminum lower intake manifold temperature will be reduced by 30 degrees.

I've had these spacers for my 01 for a few months now, and I must say, I am satisfied with them. The car has a much nicer throttle response, and my butt dyno sensed more power up top. All in all, its al great product, with amazing customer service. I was new at this and never messed with an UIM, and Aaron was very informative and helpful, and I was able to fix my noob mistakes. Even though the spacers are from a 4th gen, they are very easy to modify and make fit. Awesome products, from and awesome company. Thanks again Aaron!

And be sure to include what color bottle opener or can cooler you want us to include in your package.

With any purchase over $100, we will throw in a ...
FREE aluminum keychain bottle opener or FREE neoprene can/bottle cooler insulator (aka coozie).

Please include a message with your order letting us know what color you prefer. Please only choose one. While supplies last. And you are allowed to combine free shipping AND still get a bottle opener or coozie added to your package. All you have to do is ask for it when you place your order.

Ok finally ordered a set of these. I need to raise the height of the DEK intake manifold a few mm for another project and these should suffice. I will try to get a before and after dyno test done in the near future.
