Hmmm, I think there was an error calculating the intl. shipping. Call me direct at 772-285-5872 and I'll get the order over the phone. You won't be double billed.

Just curious, are you guys considering making a Y-pipe for the 4th gen Maximas again?

How about being the first to mass fab a dual outlet catback for 5th gens?

Hmmm... I need a new muffler anyway due to a leak, which is $180 at the auto store lol. $260 shipped sure makes this tempting... But the sound clip is rather low quality. It sounds rather rice-burner-ish, but I'm assuming that's just the microphone not picking up the lower frequencies? I was hoping for more of a Mustang rumble/roar than a Civic ringing lol. Anyone else have any thoughts on the sound clip?

Ok, I ordered one!! I boosted the bass on the recording and compared it to clips of the Greddy Evo2 on 5th gen Maximas, and I determined that it's probably just a bad recording... The Evo2 sounds awesome, though, and similar to the clip of this one, minus the absense of bass, and there's no reason this one should be different.

Anywho, when I get it installed, I have a very high quality mic/recording setup (since I'm a musician) and I promise to record a better clip for you guys. :P

By the way, (this coming from a web developer) your site sucks. lol. The checkout process was really finicky, but I got it through finally. (When I replied to the e-mail with a problem, the response from Tom was lightning quick, though )

I must say, so far this is worth the price. I just rec'd mine and the quality is really good in the build and includes hangers, gaskets and nice strong bolts. I'm just waiting on my Cattman Fastcat before I install it.

Based on Greddy, though quality is low it sounds very similar. You will not sound like a Civic with a V6. You wonèt gain much without any supporting mod on any exhaust system.

Sounds like all of our customers for this item, both on and off the org, have very impressed with the sound of this exhaust system. We've received a lot of positive feedback...

We have continue this system and have more available. We will also have a similar styled kit for the 4th generation very soon (about a week). We will then look into other styled systems as many members have suggested.

Thanks for your support everyone!

Yeah, I didn't like the recording either (low quality, hard to hear), but took a chance. I got mine Tuesday, but I'm also waiting on a high-flow cat before I install it. It's supposed to ship today, so... Probably late next week is when I'll get it, unfortunately.

In any case, like I said, I'll do a recording when I'm done, although others' results my differ since I'm including a high-flow cat. Hopefully the org will notice this is post number 15 and let me out of my cage so I can upload it!

Well mine maybe a bit louder since it would include Cattman headers, cams and BBMAF.

Just installed the system and it's great. First off the quality is great and the system looks like a stock system in regards to the way it sits on the car. It produces a nice deep sound that is not annoying at all. Great product!!

Provide a clip please? More out of curiosity since I already got one, but for others questioning.

I'm going to find out on Monday. It seems like most members are interested in a 3" catback with a dual tip muffler. CORRECT?! From what I understand 1.5-2 months would be my guess. I'll most likely have better figures after Monday.

Got my kit installed along with my high-flow cat this weekend!

The only problem I had didn't have to do with the kit at all. Getting the one flange at the cat unbolted was a pain! Neither ratchet with levy bar nor air ratchet did any good on those nuts. Just stripped them! Ended up using a combination of hack saw, air chisel, and circular air-powered cutter (which I wish I knew my dad had to begin with :P). Spent over half the time just getting those two nuts off! But in any case, I'll get to the actual kit lol.

After I got the cat's flange apart, the rest was easy. The kit fit the car perfectly, and it hung nicely. The tail pipe looks mean too :P. I don't think it looks odd at all with the longer indent in the bumper. It sounds mean too. (I was right, the lo-fi clip posted earlier does not do it justice!) It has a nice deep tone. For a daily driver, it is on the loud side, but it's not could-hear-you-coming-a-mile-away loud. I'll record a clip, as promised, but I just didn't have the time this weekend. I might have time today or if not tomorrow.

I only have one bit of criticism: There is an extra flange in this kit that is not in the stock pipe. It's where the pipe goes sideways (from center towards passenger side when installed). I don't see how they could have avoided this without making it near impossible to ship safely (or affordably), but the flange does only barely fit. It touches the metal shield, which could cause some extra noise. If you're really worried about it, you could bend or cut the shield, but I'm not worried. I think it will be fine. So yeah, it's just a minor thing. Other than that, it's a great setup! Best kit for the money, that's for sure!

Ok, here's the clip I promised:

http://www.deftflux.net/mp3/custommaxima_exhaust.mp3

You need some good speakers or some studio headphones to appreciate this fully. :P I didn't enhance the sound at all, it's as recorded, fairly close to the tail pipe. It may not sound like it, but I revved all the way to redline. It revs pretty fast. I think I need to reset my ECU, though. It sounds odd after revving when I release the gas pedal. Anyways, there it is.

Do you notice any contact with that heat shield while driving over bumps? I noticed the potential problem with my install but I pounded the heat shield flat against the floorboard to prevent contact before I put the car down.

I finally got around to installing mine. Bit of fittiment issues. To Custom Maxima, on your next batch, I recommend going 2 piece. The flange from the mid-pipe to the small arm is way too big. As a temp I had to remove the heat shield, but even at that the flange hits the fuel tank which is not a good thing. I have to go back to my mech and he going to have to cut that flange and weld the 2 pieces together. Also the hanger on the midpipe is too short, it had to be heated and bent upwards for the hanger rubber to fit. It does sound nice however aside from the temp rattle of the flange hitting. It's nice and deep, a bit loud but thats with me having headers and a fast cat which you can't avoid with any exhaust. To be honest it's great for the price and no complaints, just I recommend you doing a 2 piece instead as I've seen another person have the same issue with the flange.
