No problem it's my pleasure. The more I can do the more things that manufactures will make for our cars and with group buys I get to save some money so it's a win win for everyone; lol.

No reply today about the promo code but I did manage to find the original thread about the Y-Pipe and the gaskets. As far as I can see I would guess that you are going to want to replace them but if your car is brand new (under 5K) I guess you could do w/o new ones but thats up to you. Here is the link to the original thread HERE and here is the link to Courtesy Parts for the gaskets its one of the ones that are at the bottom.

Ok boys, sorry for the Delay but I was away for the holiday weekend plus a couple days to tend to some family matters. but here are the details about how things are going to happen. As mentioned this will be the last GB for a long long time on this item and it is not likely to go on sale after this GB for a long time. If you want a Ypipe at the discounted price now is the time. PLEASE READ ALL POINTS
  1. The GB will be open for a period of 2 weeks ( 07/07/2010- 07/23/2010)

  2. Orders can be placed right away but nothing will ship until the minimum 10 orders are reached, I will be sure to provide an
update every day or two to let you guys know whats going on.

  3. If you pay via credit card, your card will only be authorized. No money will actually be taken from your account until the parts are shipping and the GB min of 10 orders has been reached

  4. Presently only 9 units are available for immediate shipping ( Kam already has his) Any orders above the 9 available will be placed on back-order. A new batch of Ypipes is in the works and will be ready in about 3 weeks maybe 4max.

  5. If you are one of the back orders, you will be informed via email where you will be given the choice to keep the order or not. If you keep the order your credit card will not be charged until the item(s) ships.

  6. As of right now the discount code is live on the Racingline website. USE CODE "GB7GY" to get the GB discount. The discount is equal to $54.38 ( $30 off + $24.38 in shipping)

  7. If you add extra items to your order you will be charged the adjusted shipping rate (ex 27.49 for ypipe+ RSB, minus 24.38 = 3.49 in shipping charges for the RSB)

  8. If you want in on the GB DO NOT WAIT and tell yourself "when they reach 10 I'll order" because if too many people do it and time runs out, then everybody loses.

  9. Please include your maxima.org screen name in the comments box

Blacknsilver ordered one and he wasnt even on the original list and there is only a limited amount (9). Its first come first serve so i recommend if you want one, order before its too late!

Great to see that you guys all got your promo code. Again like I mentioned previously and as mentioned above it is first come first serve so get your orders in also this is the last time for a long time that this item will be at a discounted price of $50 (on sale) so jump at this opportunity if you want to save some money for other aftermarket parts or just to keep an extra $50 in your pocket.

I just got a quick question which gasket is the correct one to get for the y pipe, I looked at the link that was given but I just felt better if someone else looked at it also. 20692M i know this one should be right. but can someone give me the complete ones to order and should I order the nuts with it or stay with the stock one? I know I'm not the only one with this question.
Thanx

Its really simple looking guys. Everytime I have been under my car changing my oil I have looked at the factory Nissan Y-pipe and that is what has really pushed me to get this upgrade. The Factory pipe looks really cheap and is pinched real flat in areas. It looks super simple to replace. I'm sure if you can change your own oil you can change your Y-pipe.

That's 7 counting Kam's y-pipe so that means
ONLY 3 Y-PIPES LEFT AT DISCOUNTED RATE!!!
they have gone really quick considering that they have only had the promo code up less than 12 hours so far! I'm sure the other 3 will be gobbled up quickly so if you want in on this discount I suggest you not to drag your feet!

I ordered mine today and it said that there is 1 left in stock after I placed my order. Can't wait to get this pipe. I also have an Ingen intake on the way and am looking forward to the added power.

There are exactly 8 orders (9 including Kam).

I would expect that one to come in very soon and that all should be shipping by monday latest

And just for clarification, the GB is not capped at the 10 orders, more orders are welcome and will be honored and the GB rate if received by July 23rd. The extra orders simply will not ship till the beginning of August

You mean a maxima.org exclusive code? I though about it a while back but decided against it, reason being that Racingline is marketed directly to the maxima/altima crowd through these forum almost exclusively. We have always striven to provide great prices on everything we build so that we can provide the most value to the customer. Operating in such a small niche market in most cases usually means higher than average prices compared to the "popular cars" out there. But our prices have always been either on par if not less than other vendors than sell similar products.

One of the biggest ways we keep the costs down is market directly to the end user. We do not use distributors because it would mean marking up prices to allow for profit for 2 companies, doing so would mean we weren't giving you the customer the best value possible. Likewise in offering a forum specific discount code... Yes it makes some feel happy and makes them think they are getting a deal but it also implies we didn't give you the best price up front. it's a catch22 really

No problem and yes the part numbers 20691, 20691+A, and 20692M are the part numbers that another member purchased and was able to use so those should work properly. I haven't purchased them yet cause I want to see if they dealership will charge me less for them cause with Courtesy Parts you will have to pay for S&H from what it looks like.

Thanks for verifying those parts. Checking locally is a good idea as well.

It CAN be an extremely easy install... I used jack stands in my parking lot. The front 6 bolts are extremely easy to get off and on... Just make sure you use some RTV to hold the gaskets in place and to complete the seal. The rear nuts on the other hand are a PITA to get off. Mine were completely rusted solid and the angle of the car was not enough to get a breaker bar in there. I ended up making my own 'mini' breaker bar to get them loose and after that it was a breeze. Anyone with basic basic tool and mechanical knowledge can def do this in a few hours (it woulda taken me 30 min max had it not been for the rusted nuts).

And Flip- you are correct about the stock y-pipe. It is UGLY as SIN. Wait till you see it off the car... you may vomit.

Yeah no problem. I'm still debating if I should install this myself or if I'm too lazy and have a shop do it.

Annino how easy was your rear sway bar install? I just ordered the racingline one.
