Now there is not a huge light output difference between 4300k and 12000k. To illustrate my point, here is a comparison picture of the two on the same car. 12000k left - 4300k right
[SIZE=4]12000k vs 4300k against a wall
12000k vs 4300k showing output
So in the end it comes down to what color you are looking for or like the most. All the Kelvin ratings are clickable to see our customer cars that have them installed.
4300k = Crystal White
6000k = Crystal Blue
8000k = Blue
10000k = Deeper Blue with a hint of Purple
12000k = Violet
Custom Colors (added $10 charge and a 9-13 business day wait. there are other colors also, but these are the ones I have pictures of. These are not available for D2S/D2R or Bi-xenon bulbs)
Also, our Custom Colored bulbs start out as 4300k bulbs and then the gases inside are altered to give the desired color.
Here is a comparison between 4300k and a Custom Color Purple. Also this does not affect the life span of the bulb.

For reference value, we did took these ourselves. Just keep in mind, every vehicle is a little different.
_________5000k_________________6000k______________ ___8000k
_________10000k_______________12000k______________ __15000k
_________30000k____________Custom Purple___________Custom Blue
For reference, these are a weird strong blue/purple color. The custom blue are still significantly stronger than the 30000k bulbs.
______3000k / Yellow______________Pink_________________Green
Fun part the 3000k's are they're extremely housing dependent on how deep of a yellow they are. Regardless, they're always a strong yellow on the road.
Green.

Couple questions that always come up.
Ballast options: For Nissan Maxima's, you can pretty much run anything you want. The 35w Digital ballasts are what we've used for years. The Canbus ballasts are a higher quality ballast but we primarily use them on BMW's, Audi's, Chrysler's, Dodge's that throw error codes.
Harness options: Same as above. Plug-and-play harness is pretty much standard. We've seen kits last longer using relay harnesses but the primary failure point ends up being the relay due to where it's placed. The Warning Canceler Harness only really gets used on cars that throw error codes or flicker like a strobe light. You do not have to worry about these.
DRL Module: These are only used on vehicles with Daytime Running Lights. This is where the headlights are half-on when the engine is on and the vehicle is in gear (or the parking brake is off in a stick-shift), despite the light switch being off. It has NOTHING to do with the car having an "automatic light on when dark" feature. That's a completely separate thing.
We primarily use these on GM/Chevrolet's that have the DRL's in the headlights, or Canadian models. Granted these do not work on all DRL's though. Mitsubishi is the most notable. Oddly enough they also work as a warning canceler on Volvo's O_o
Vision Tech HID Kits
These are our entry level HID kit. We've field tested these locally in the Houston, TX market through a couple shops over the past year just to be sure that they're reliable. We primarily reserve these for fog lights or auxiliary lights. Or for people just looking for a cheap high beam or fog light kit.

Also I have a set of the 1-PC R34 headlights for a 95-99 Maxima that came as a trade in for a projector headlight retrofit. If anyone wants me to drop a set of Morimoto's in there, I'll happily do it.

Ends up being this guy for the low beams:
http://shop.3bspecialties.com/3BSpec...ID-9006-5k.htm
We also have the same noted for the fog lights (Canbus Ballast / Warning Canceler):
http://shop.3bspecialties.com/3BSpec...ustomH1-3k.htm
I would check to see if the fog lights have an adapter on them that makes them a twist-in style bulb. We don't have any documentation regarding that one. Usually an H1 bulb is held in by a small spring clip. If that's the case, you're good to go.
---
I'm sure at this point you're asking yourself, "Can I just use the warning canceler's on their own without the Canbus ballast?" Yep. We've done it numerous times before. Usually if anything goes out, it's the Canceler.

We've had bad luck with any type of bi-xenon style bulb. The mechanical ones are rarely wired right. The dual HID variants are just too expensive. The HID low beam/halogen high beams are the easiest to install and tech support, but the high beam is lacking :T

Doing clean up work on my day off.
Also... for some reason we had a request for multi-color LED strips with a controller. These are primarily for motorcycles and ATV's, but there's more than enough to cover the entire inside of a car with room to spare.
- (10) 1-Ft strips
- (10) 2-Meter extensions
- (10) 3-Meter extensions
- IR controller
- Everything can be run off a 12V source (probably not the cigarette lighter though)

One of the ballast is having a problem igniting I think in my wifes Santa Fe. I bought the kit in May or June of this year. I am using a relay kit so is should be fine. What do you recommend I due and if the ballast is bad what warranty do you offer?

Are you still running the 50% off promo? Thinking about going with these for my fogs on the 5.5 http://shop.3bspecialties.com/Vision...HID-H3-3-K.htm

It's taken me 4 months to get the one PC that had all the bookmarks, back online. Long story short; I got house swapped by a sister-in-law, and it's been a disaster since. Everything has been operating the entire time though.

Yep, never really left, just been busy in the background messing with some projectors, seeing if I can't hack something together, testing new Canbus ballasts, finding a new CCFL supplier, fighting with LED suppliers, finding time to put my little brother's car back together while he's in Afghanistan.
And definitely time to replace this PC. It's been good to me, but Firefox has a big enough memory leak in it that causes it to crawl after 30 minutes.

Random note of interest.
Canbus Ballast:
http://shop.3bspecialties.com/Bada-B...busBallast.htm
We've been slowly messing with a new Canbus ballast since last June. So far it's worked on everything we've thrown it at. 2012 Jeep Wrangler, '07 Dodge Ram (notorious for being problematic), numerous BMW's and Mercedes. They've repeatedly fired without tripping an error on the car. The only car that we could not get to work was 2012 BMW 528i. We threw everything and the kitchen sink at it and nothing would work. Not sure if it was a one off problem or if BMW did something new on the 2012 models.
I'm a skeptic about everything so it will be fun to see how these really hold up over time.
