I just got mine today (Fri) via phone order last friday. The original quote was $120. I asked if he was gonna make me wait 'til the next max.org GD and he gave them to me for $90 + $25 for UPS ground.
FYI |
I just got mine. He didn't respond to my email, but I don't really care because they're here. I haven't bought shocks/struts yet though and I'm still a little worried about too harsh a ride on these Michigan roads.

Springs arrived today! Install will br Monday. Thanks Wizza.
|
I received mine yesterday. I didn't get an email from him either, but they're here so thats all I care about. Great springs for the money. I'm in Houston BTW.

When installing springs, what are the torque specs for bolts involved in the installation?
bp |
Mine arrived Friday, and installed them saturday (with Tokico's) before the Lexington, KY meet. I have installed drop springs on many, many cars before, the whole process took me about 2 hours and 10 minutes with a lift and air tools. It wasn't too difficult, i'm sure someone has a write up on how to do it. Make sure you use a spring compressor to do this, cause you will need the spring compressor to put on the new springs. I have NO spring noise and i did not use that wire wrap stuff
|
Man... I hope mine actually get here soon.

Got 'em today, can't wait to put 'em on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :D :D

I will measure this Saturday after it has had the week to settle (to see the final drop numbers). It is nice though because the back is a little higher than the front...no load in the trunk syndrome!! Brian Driver Side Passenger Side |
Originally posted by TellschMax02 I did it this Saturday as well. Not hard at all...if you have the right tools and a buddy. I put mine in Saturday with a friend. Took us 6 hours due to problems with a lug nut, striping a bolt, not knowing what we were doing, and killing a 12-pack during this whole operation. I forgot to put those plastic things on the front springs. The drop looks good. Not to sure about the ride though yet. The ride is a lot stiffer and it tends to be bouncy, and I already bottomed out once. The good part is, it takes turn like my moms BMW. I think the new feel will grow on me. I am using stock shocks and struts. I will take pics after I put my FSTB on Wednesday.

Originally posted by SuDZ How is the ride? SuDZ Overall, it was stiffer than I thought it would be, but in the tolerable range for sure. Brian |
Cool, so it really is not that bad. Like you said my KYB setup will help out too.
Thanks for the info SuDZ |
Still nothing yet over here in SC so dont feel bad SUDZ.
I get to read about you guys with your springs already on while I wait here.. No biggie though, still gotta get struts. Gonna do them both. It seems like everything these days come from Cali and then moves to the east coast. First the major import movement, then Maxima ethusiasm, now these... What's that Home Depot Wrap I read about? My stock boots look like they need replacing so what is that stuff? What department would that be in? |
If you do not want to or choose not to reuse the stock spring isolators, then go to Radio Shack and get the half-inch spiral cut wire loom. It can be cut from the original 4 feet down to appropriate lengths for the four spring bottoms. You do not need them on the top as much. Best of luck to you all...I still love my MaxSpeeds.
