well....

according to everyone who has eibachs or H&Rs, BOTH Maxspeed and Progress SUCK ballz.

But there are lotta people that have MAXSPEED springs installed and are happy. Ask 2000SE, BigJonDog,TOny Fernandes of results
Toylet is having his progress springs removed of his 5th gen because of probs. He is putting eibachs on. Ask him about progress springs.

Got these the first time around and......

I already took them off...naw just kidding Wizzamax. I installed them with KYB AGX and I am extremely satisfied. My car handles awesome now. I can take off ramps and windy roads at high rates of speed and the car just sits in the corners. Also, for under a hundred bucks it was wel worth it!!!!

Don't be scared, go with the Maxspeeds!!!!

Worth getting if I have a 4th Gen SE? I read some members talking about how its comparable to the 5th Gen OEM SE springs. I've also read some 4th gen reports sayings its a lot better than stock SE so who to believe?

Updated Wednesday

Undecided have until Friday to make their choice...
Payment will be requested via e-mail or post on boards

Personally I had H&R's and thought they were great but the ride is NO different from these but at half the price...so you do the homework...I cannot speak for EVERYONE who ever had another set of brandname parts, only what I know and the vendor advice...buyers beware, the springs are not as stiff as Eibach and not as low as Sprint or Progress...but you will have to make the choice for yourself...mine passed the wifey test. .. and that is good enough for me...Happy Motoring!

theres some more pics and reviews from the previous group deal. look in the last few pages of the thread. i think the concensus of the springs is: less drop, stock/h&r type ride, ideal for city driving. im in for a set for my 4th gen if the springs go for $85. also, does anyone know how much shipping will cost?

I felt like most of you before: Not sure, sounds like cheap springs, ride quality, ride height....

I will say that I am very satisfied with them. I have a 2 finger gap in the rear and just a bit more than 2 in the front. I will have pictures next week (don't have a digital cam).

As far as the ride goes: It is a little stiffer(hardly noticeable) than stock, but I like it because it makes the car feel more tight.

This is FINAL information for those members who expressed intent to buy on the Max Speed Group Deal dated: 03-12-2002

You must e-mail my contact the seller directly and immediately to arrange for purchase details. This will include shipping issues you may have or final payment type. The seller prefers PayPal but is willing to discuss options for those who do not have their account set up. Do not delay the Group Deal but trying to establish one now...that can take up to a week.

Reference information: Please quote this following information for any correspondence with Seller.

Group Deal - Max Speed Springs - Coordinated by WizzaMax wizza@techemail.com - For expressed members of Maxima.ORG only. Reference must include Maxima.ORG member name in e-mail as he has been advised of who to include by your responses.

Please contact him NOW so we can be assured that at least ten members are solid on this before he will ship at this price. He will accept payments first. Then contact you directly concerning date of shipment. There has been discussion of dropping the price to $85.00 if we can assure him of ten PAID orders. I am confident
we can do this.

Email seller : Borgioli74@aol.com

PayPal to : vwcafe@volkscafe.com

Do not send me any money. I am not getting anything out of this at all and I do not want to delay shipping. The responsibility rests with the individuals now to make final purchase arrangements with my contact.

This Group Deal is considered closed unless you have already expressed interest and have shown your intent.
