A few weeks back BenBlanco218 & Big_Ham had posts concerning the Red/Clear tails. Think BenBlanco218 is doing the exchange program, you send the unmodded tails & he'll send you the modded tails. Not
sure what Big_Ham was doing.

here's an idea
Correct me if I'm wrong, but part of the reason for Greg's price is the fact that the clear pieces are cut on expensive equipment.
Also, from what i understand, the hardest part of doing it yourself is cutting the plastic to fit perfectly.
So why not get a GD going on just the clear pieces by themselves? It's cheaper for us and easier for Greg - plus there are plenty of people who won't want to do it themselves so it doesn't hurt business.

Thats a damn good idea, but whos going to just sell those pieces and how much would you charge for cutting a $2-3 piece of plastic into little squarish pieces and then how much would u discount it for a group deal?

Re: Re: here's an idea
I assume if the cutting is done by a machine, it doesn't make a difference to the people who own the machine if you cut 10 or 1000 because it'll do it quickly and the raw materials are incredibly cheap. I'd be willing to pay as much as $20 for a pair if I could be certain they would look good and fit right. They could be sold on custommaxima if Greg wanted to do it that way. Whoever does it has potential for lots of profit because demand and margin is so high.

I've been trying to get my hands on used tails for months now and have had little luck. Deals fall through, I've been burnt (sent money, no tails), and the main culprit has been people who don't ship properly and the tails break in shipment (this is where most of the aggrivation comes in). Please post here if a trade in program works for you. I realize this won't help everyone, but I can have the tails sent out the day after I receive them in most cases. If I get 5 pairs in on one day, some people may have to wait 2 days for me to send out, but they will certainly be sent out ASAP. Let me know guys, I'd love to be able to help.

I guess I could. I was originally going to charge $75 plus shipping, but after all, it is Maxima.org. I have learned so much here, I might as well give some back. $60 shipped, and yes Regis, that's my final answer Please email me at joel@bigham.com to discuss addresses and such and once we're underway, I will have your tails back to you ASAP.

Re: Re: here's an idea
even a template would be good - this is my fiancee and I's only car so I can't just take the tails off and mess with them all day but if I have the pieces already cut and I know they will fit right, that would be much easier...
