i jus' called GReddy (9495888300), and a representative there told me that there aren't any exhausts right now for a 2002 SE. i'm calling other companies to see what's out. jus' thought i'd let you all know...i guess the 2002 will be then 6th gen instead of 5th, since no parts for a 2000-2001 will fit!

5thGen GXE/SE/GLE all have the same body /parts with the exception of the 2K2 model.

Has AIE shipped out these exhausts yet? I ordered two weeks ago. I also sent e-mail to them, but no response.

 

It's only been 8 business days. Give it some time. Adam was waiting for more people tooo. So it's been less than 8 business days.

I checked on Tues.. He told me they haven't come in yet..

 

I called him yesterday, he said he will be gettin' them in a week (I don't believe it) And then ship them to us.

 

I pulled out of the deal a couple days ago. He made it seem like he was getting em within a week so two weeks max of total wait time from time of purchase to shipment to my door. When I called him earlier this week he said that GReddy was gonna ship out to him next week so ETA would be an additional two weeks if even that before it gets to me. To me this constitutes as NOT ANY TIME SOON.

Personally I like it when people have their products on hand and ready to ship before they offer group deals unless they offer drop shipping through there vendors which wasn't the case here. So i pulled out. Sorry guys.

 

The first GD didn't have any problems. I don't know how long it took for the members to get it. I think he has to order it and when he receives then he would ship it out.

Err... I don't mind waiting 3 weeks total, but when AIE keeps saying "they will be in next week", this signals a problem. I don't want 3 weeks to end up being 6 weeks. Why wouldn't they know when Greddy is going to ship? If Greddy doesn't tell them, how can they say "next week" with any certainty? Hmmmm...

Just got an email from Adam with UPS tracking info.

You got it... My Greddy SP exhaust is on it's way home! I think I ordered 4/30/02 so that's not bad at all. It'll arrive at the 3 week mark or so which is very reasonable. I guess my concerns were misplaced.

Has anyone else received e-mails regarding exhuast deliveries??

 

I'm in for a 5th Gen Evo for my 2K2.

 

I was so excited that my Greddy SP came today. Checked it out and went straight for the muffler shop. They dismantled my stock exhaust by taking down the bolts and then torching it in half---looked pretty rusted out! When they went to install the Greddy, to my horrer, they/I see this hole near the front of the pipe. It's a hole for the 02 sensor!!! I knew instantly that I had a greddy sp for '97-99 (instead of '95)! Damn! Luckily this shop is well equiped and just threaded on an o2 sensor plug and luckily the rest of the pipe fit OK. At the major bend in the B-pipe, the normal hanger pin is not there! Instead there is a plate with a hole. The shop just put a bolt through there and then through the rubber hanger. Problem number three from this is that the muffler tip jets out almost 3" past the bumper!!! It looks *stupid*--like some punk kid ricer mod. Unfortunately the shop was closing, so I will probably have to go back tomorrow to get the tip cut down and re-welded. Looks like it's easy to do and should only cost me around $30 or so.

When I first found out, obviously I could have told them to stop and send the cat-back exhaust back to AIE, but we are probably looking at me being out shipping to them, then another 3 weeks to get another one. The main downside to keeping it is having to have the tip shortened. Ah well... that negates some of the cost savings but it seems every mod I do has some major snag...

I seriously recommed that before Adam ships your exhaust that you tell him to double check the year make.

Oh, and the sound? L-O-U-D but not that bad. It may just be me but the car definitely seems faster! I thought this mod was supposed to be 2-3hp?

 

Has anyone gotten their EVO yet? I have to admit...I'm gettin a little impatient. But I'll wait as long as it takes.

 

let me tell you, the GReddy EVO is crazy! it has a very nice deep growl to it. you don't get that coffee can sound like most 4 bangers. right now i only have CAI and exhaust and the darn thing is loud around 2k rpm. i'm still waiting for Warpspeed to ship me their 99.5 y-pipes so i could stick it on my car.
