Variable Intakes Continued....
I have worked out my problems with PayPal, and am ready to start selling Middle East Variable Intakes again.
This mod effectively changes the length of the Plenums on the Maxima at 5000+RPMs, allowing the powerband to essentially continue almost until redline.
See the page below for details and Dynos:
www.cyberhub.net/intake
My supplier needs to order the parts himself. he owns an Auto Parts store in the ME and does not keep this kind of stock on hand. He needs 2 months to order the items and receive them. he also would like 50% down so he does not get stuck with stock he doesn't want.
So this is how I'm going to do it.
Total price for the Intakes is $560 shipped ot your door.
50% down. In 2 motnhs, when my supplier is ready to ship, you'll send me the other 50% so I may pay him the remainder and he will then ship them to me, and I will ship them to you.
Unfortunately, I cannot accept payPal, as they will not allow any transactions that take over 30 days.
So it's going to be Money order, Cashier's Check, or Western Union.
I know about the whole roadBeast thing, and am also doing the 50% thing to ease some people's minds.
I have dealt financially with several people on this board, the most recent being Speedtrip, who I already sold an Intake to. Also, my reputation is well known on this board by everyone in the NW Forum and many people in the 4th Gen Forum. Jeff92SE, airmattdog, ebmorgan, and mrb23 to name a few.
If you pay me now and for whatever reason cannot come up with the rest at the end of the time period, with your permission I will simply sell the "spot" to someone else and send you your money back.
send E-Mail to cyberoptik@cablespeed.com if you have any questions or would like to go through with it.
05/15 - I have 5 orders now. Deadline is now officially set to next Wed to tell me you're interested, the next Monday after that for me to receive your money. I can't hold people up on this any longer than that.
Thanks for your support,
IanS

You'll have it tomorrow (PayDay for me) if you wanna come pick it up.
I'm not installng the CAI now because I bought a SuperCharger. But I'll just resell it or something.
bmxsteve - As stated above, I need 50% now, 50% in 2 months.
So $280 now, $280 in 2 months = $560
Mail checks to:

Cut off will be when I get 5-10 orders, and when I feel I can't get any more.
I'm thinking 1-2 weeks, tops.
This is good for people who only have 1/2 of the money right now.

I may be able to find the solenoids at the local junkyard for $2.50 each, but I'm not promising that. If I do find enough, I will just ship them to everyone free of charge.
I am working on a full write-up, but honestly, if you look at the new Manifold and then look at the one on your car, it should be obvious what you have to do. If you have a mechanic doing it, he will absolutely have no problems.
You simply unhook all the hoses and sensors off of your current manifold, unbolt it, remove it, and put the new one on and hook everything back up.
The only difference is that the EVAP hose from the manifold to the EVAP is a different size on the ME manifold. This is where we T'ed from to get pressure for the vacuum canister anyway, so we didn't need to make an adapter (T's tend to be adapable in size).
Then you wire in the Solenoid/RPM switch and hook up the vacuum system like I said on my site.
Anyway, to list things out, here's what's included:
Intake Manifold
Intake Manifold Cover
Intake Manifold Cover gasket
Butterfly Rod
Butterflies
O-Ring seal for butterfly rod
Vacuum actuator
Manifold to Engine Gasket (You could reuse your old one, but I'm sending everyone one anyway).
I will also include all bolts needed for the Manifold cover. The ones for the manifold-engine connection are not needed, because you can just reuse what you already have on your current manifold.
If you have more quesitons, or I am not being clear enough, let me know by sending mail to cyberoptik@cablespeed.com
I will also have a full write-up done by the time the manifolds come in. WOrking on my SuperCharger project and work and my PayPal issues (PayPal sucks), so I haven't had alot of time the last couple weeks.
But I promise, everyone will get one, and I will post it on my site when It's done.
Thanks,
IanS

<just kidding>
I was raised my a Marine Corps Colonel, and a Catholic mother.
Come on, can you get more honest than that?
Wait...Catholic.....Honest....Todays headlines....maybe I shouldn't mention that.

Honestly, I don't see anyone else coming forward, but I THINK I have 5. Haven't seen any checks yet, however. Also, I haven't seen any wire transfers...yet.

Next time....
I have other things to do to my car before I get one of these things. (Intake, Y-pipe, B-pipe, Cat, UDP)
Lets say I get these done in total 6 months from now. Will I still be able to get a ME VI or will I always have to wiat for a group deal? Even worse, will you stop bringing them over??? Please answer no to that last one!

It all depends on how this one goes.
Right now I can't take credit cards and people don't seem willing to deal with me on a large volume basis, although I have already proven I and the guy in the ME is completely trustworthy (ask SpeedTrip).
I have 5 people so far, and I make nothing off these, so most likely I may do one more GD later in the summer, but then never again.

OK, I'm having trouble keeping track.
If you have mailed me a check, or plan to, post here!
Same goes for Wire Transfers.
mrb23 - I got yours in the mail yesterday....Thanks!
Everyone Else - Haven't seen anything yet.
Also, www.cyberhub.net/intake has been updated with the Nissan OEM Vacuum Solenoid Part #. It's $70.00, however, and the closest one to Seattle was in Salt Lake City, UT. This is the same one MardisGrasMax used.
That's why I went to the junkyard and got one for $2.50.

1) My cars an Auto.
2)It has nothing to do with peak hp. It has everything to do with extending that peak from 5000 RPM's to Redline. That makes it worth $1000 IMHO.

The cool thing about the VI is that with boost, it ADDS +25 or more hp!!!
It's a large part of the reason I just bought a V1 Sopercharger.
See MardisGrasMax'es web page dor the Dyno charts on his car with Boost and MEVI.

Sorry I haven't posted in a bit...I've been busy with work, the VI's, and my SC Project.
Anyway, I have received 3 checks thus far. I have not checked my mail today, but I will post if I get any.
JustMaxin, I don't believe I have received your check yet. I'm sure it will be here shortly. Send me an E-Mail with your real name so I can make sure I'm not confused about this.
So far I have checks from 3 of you...I expect 2 more by the end of the day tomorrow. (Including you, JustMaxin)
Then I will be placing the order Monday. I already spoke with my supplier, and he is ready to go.
So everything is cool.

Update:
The wire transfer to my supplier occured last Wed. It owuld have been Tuesday, but medical problems kept me home for that day.
(I'm OK now)
New developments:
I spoke to my supplier, and it turns out that the order went well, and we MAY get them sooner than expected...like 1 month instead of 2. But I'm not promising anything right now.
1 person dropped out of the deal, and I have another spot open. Please send me E-Mail if interested and it will be $280 now, $280 when they arrive at my supplier and are ready to ship to me.
Thanks!

If that happens, I'll definately do another GD later this year. if not, I'm still not sure I'll do another.

Not to get O/T but I am thinking of the ECU that would work best with this mod? JWT or G-Force? By the way I have a 96 SE 5 speed. I also spoke with a rep at Jim Wolf and he said the can do an custom ECU with an ECU controlled switch for the rpm switch to open the valve at 5K.. seems like a good Idea.. Let me know what you all think.
Thanks

Jim Wolf said that it would eliminate the need for a rpm switch.

I think of it this way if I race another max and he does not have a VI and is N/A I will have the upper hand.
