If you do some minor modification of stock upper front strut mounts then all you need is the KYB's (425). I am checking on the shipping for you.

I am still waiting on a shipping cost but it will be 425 + shipping.

The way the money will work is once we have ten people everyone will send me a money order that is made out to Cattman Performance and then I can organize it with your adresses, etc. and mail it to Brian as a whole package. This will make it easier on Brian because he won't be receiving these at all kinds of different times and have to figure out what is what.

You dont need to but the dust boots.

As far as even out your car, it will look lower in the back with springs just due to the way the max is. If you got coilovers you could adjust that.

Bump stops are for those who dont have 17' stock on their SE model. If you have a SE with stock 17's, then teh car came with bumpstops. For those who did not, like a GXE, then get the bumpstops to avoid u hitting the inside of the wheel well.

If you're going to go with the GC coilovers .. then the dustboots won't fit .. don't bother with them.

I dont see why u would need the camber kit.

Might be pointless on a adjustable suspension.

for a 2 inch drop or more, yeah u need it. But from my understanding, the camber kit is adjusted when u do your alignment. If u keep going up and down with your coilovers, you defeat the purpose of putting a camber kit. Plus, maxima's can be adjusted slightly for camber.

i plan on dropping it low..then leaving it at that height.....i want to drop mine low enough so i'll get rid of the wheel gap and for the car to sit even...I have a 2001 AE maxima......will this kind of drop be lower than 2"?..will i need a camber kit now?

thanks

after 2", id say use a camber kit. Speak to a Pro about that though. Just to be on the safe side. I dont know much about coilovers, cause I find them to be too stiff to be practical.

For you canadian customers on this group deal. I recommend we ship this product to a address close to our US borderlines. Then we drive over and get it. I will sponsor the cost of the gas if someone else drives. The brokerage cost and teh shipping cost should be cut down significantly. What Canadians in the Toronto GTA are interested in this?

Hey Steve,

Let me know if you're going to do this for yourself and think your pricing will be better than Cattman's!

If you do .. what do you think timing will be like?

i have to talk to my machine shop and see if this will even be worth it, it's something simple to do by the looks of it but i ahve to see how much time he thinks is involved, i did ti myself but it was "ghetto-rigged" in order to make it look good you would need to spend a little more time then i did. but my car was apart and i was making it fit no matter what and i did

Maybe I'll in. Causez I'm looking for the struts either. BTW,I don't quite understand this...

1)what is modified AGXs and why it's not fit with the 5th max?
2) 425/1-set = 425/4-struts(front+rear)?
3)what about if I'm living in Canada, do I need to get those modified AGXs?

KYB has not made struts specifically for the 5th gen max. Cattman modifies struts from a 4th gen I believe to fit the 5th gen maxima. The price is 425 for the entire set (4 struts). If your in Canada, and have a 5th gen you are in the same boat with everyone else. Your choices for struts are KYB AGX (modified), Tokico Blues, and I think Koni has some that require some slight modification to fit.
