OK, in that case, this is who I've invited so far, I'll remember more as time goes on I'm sure, but if anybody can think of some of the major players that I'm forgetting let me know in a PM, same goes with if you see anyone on the list that you don't think is hardcore enough. You'll notice some of the people on the following list aren't nescassarily regulars to the allmotor section, or even regular posters, my main intention was to compile a list (or "group") of the hardcore gearheads and wrench turners. I can't remember the name of that guy who has a standalone on his vq swapped 240, he qualifies.

I skimmed throught the thread & thats a Huge turbo... I dont really understand how the wastegate will be controlled but im sure you can clear that hurdle. My only suggestion is to get a smaller exhaust A/R That is if its for a vq35....Goodluck

That's the thing, it's like having the best of both worlds with a/r:

It spools a good 1000-1200 rpm faster than the small 8 blade HX40 in the .55A/R bullseye housing I had on the car before. Even with the VGT open fully which is somewhere far above 1A/R.

I am going to use the he351 (smaller) on my '95 in the meantime while I rework the practically brand new 3.5 that is going into my I30, that one will see alot. I'm hoping that guy Aero85 get's his motor back together ASAP, he was definitly pioneering and I think they'll be alot to learn about the best way to open and close that rack, plus I have my worries about overspinning that thing. I still have a long ways to go on my turbo knowledge.

Good idea with this. I'll be N/A building the 5.5 before I throw the turbo on next year so I'm sure there will be questions for some of you

Just to add, the HX35 does have exhaust side housings that are non-wastegated so you could run an external. They tend to go pretty cheap because all the diesel guys want the gated housings and if I'm not mistaken, the HY-35(gen 1 cummins ram 89-93) exhaust housings will fit as well and most are not gated.
