Don't listen to him.

Yes, it means turbo. I am going to put another T on my rear so I can have a twin turbo.

What's sadder? The fact that he mistook t for turbo or the fact that you dug up a 3 year old thread to mock him for it?

Touring models come with stiffer suspension, a wing, vlsd, bbs rims, and maybe a pinstripe. They don't come with perforated leather, thats a 98-99 srs thing.

Thanks man. I had some spare time over thanksgiving break to finally install this thing. I need to post the official mevi install thread with all the pics I took.

I had not planned on doing this until spring, but when my buddy Zack installed one on his Maxima and dynoed out extra 20 hp peak gain (and 20-60 hp over the stock curve at 5200-6500) WITH NO LOW END TORQUE LOSS (he actually gained a little). The best part was that he did it with a STOCK ECU!! Thats drops about $600 off the total price of the project right there.

He was a little upset because he had purchased a JWT modded ecu with the 7000 rpm redline and it didnt do anyting except give him an extended redline... it did not change the curve at all. I am a little upset too as I bought a 96 manual ecu that I was going JWT mod, but not anymore.

All this and the oem fit, finish, and feel of the project looks really classy. I put a chrome 96-99 I30 trunk emblem on the cover to add the finishing classy touch... this is the way the car should have come.

Regardless of what Zack's dyno results were, an MEVI loses mid range torque. There is really no question about it or way around it. I have seen dyno after dyno of the same dip in power after an MEVI install. I even have my own dyno plots to prove it. An MEVI will also not increase peak HP by much or any at all. Those dyno results were not accurate for whatever reason.

Incorrect. It came on 4th gen Euro-spec Maximas/Cefiros. Similar idea/design, but the 00VI is vastly superior is every aspect except installation.....

We will see... I'm gonna hit the dyno here as soon as I finish up finals week and I'll be able to compare it to my old dyno when I had my usdm manifold on.

Could have, but I didnt really feel like grinding down my valve covers and drilling and tapping new manifold collector holes on the lower plenum for an extra 5 hp... or what ever it is in the all motor sticky.

Everything with this install was strictly bolt on, so I was able to install it in 1 day and hit the road banging gears and barking my tires.

It may only be like 5 whp throught the powerband, but it also gives like 15 wtq, which is pretty important.

BTW- If this guy digs up another stupid thread from 3 years ago, I vote for a week ban

Week ban.... for what?.... looking around..... thats the only way to find things. I have never done anything to be banned.....if they don't want the thread opened, close it. I mean what is the big deal with that. When I opened the thread I thought I was going to see a Turbo I30 not what I found, T for turbo, c'mon guys that's pathetic. Again that is my opinion, that is what this org is for right, to hear others views on topics correct?

If you have something useful to post then go ahead and post in ancient threads, but your comment was pointless and contributed nothing.

And you did get to see a turbo I30 in this thread.

Actually, I believe you will need an adaptor to install the DE-k manafold. Check the all motor forum, I'm sure they will have something in there if not a sticky letting you know where you can get one.

EDIT: Wow, totally missed the second page to this.
