Side sills on 96 i30?....without front or rear lip?

Had an interesting epiphany today, while looking at a side shot of my car, I thought "my front bumper hangs lower than the side of the car.... wow, perfect for side sills!!"

Look at the pic in my sig, see that the front bumper slopes downward toward the wheel well, and ends a couple of inches lower than the sides. The rear is about the same as the sides, but still sloping downwards. With how low my front is, I would not consider doing front lip. I have had people ask me if the front and rear bumpers were aftermarket for that reason.

So, maybe I should post this in the PHOTOSHOP thread as well, and see what stillen sides would look like....

Give me your opinions!

First, I doubt I'll do any more apperance mods untill my car is faster.

Shawn you do have a good point. I would like a lip but I already have scuffed up my front pretty good with just having Eibachs. I understand you hesitence about a lip with such a low drop like you have. The I35 has the option of just having side skirts, which dramatically improves the looks. I think it would do the same for us. It would not cost much either.
Please someone to a photoshop.

I think it's a good look. Especially for some one like me who is not real big into body kits and apperance mods. It's a nice touch.

I do wish, like you stated, that the rear was angled more like the front. The stillen kit would be the the best bet since it is the least aggresive. We will have to see whay SY gives us with the JDM cefiro side skirts/sills(I don't know why people never heard of sills befor????).

I talked to Alex at SW autoworks, he has a decent price of the sides shipped. I imagine painting will be a couple hundred.

The Cefiro A32 OEM skirts are like mini skirts..
If you want a more dramatic.. go with with Alex (South West Auto) are able to offer... we also have to see the photo of how the 95-96 Stillen Maxima kit fits and look like on the I30's...

Mini skirts, that is a good thing. The less dramatic the better.

I'm interested to find out about this particular body style. What kind of sills, rear bumper, and front bumper are on the car?
