I can't wait. I have H4 bulbs coming in soon, so I'll have to wait
to slap these puppies on. Damn. They look soooo cool. Obviously, my modding bug has started it's infestation. Right now, I'm looking for subtle mods that my wife won't figure out.

Woohoo!

Thanks SYCEFIRO!

Just visiting from the 5th gen area but I am in the same boat as you: Making mods she won't notice or will like!

So far:
Clear corners: 2 weeks and no response
AE door sills: She was OK with them, neither like or dislike
AE pedals DENIED (too bad because I really like them )
2k2 tails She REQUESTED THEM!!!!!

Enjoy the mods!

Simon did not include the H4 bulb?

You'll love them. They totally change the look of the front end. The better bulb is just icing on the cake. I have people make comments on them all the time.

Enjoy!

You know what? It got sent to the office, so I just broken open the box, but didn't really inspect them that well. So, I don't even know if there are bulbs in there. I assumed there wasn't.

I ordered Phillips Vision Plus H4 from powerbulbs.com. They're supposedly very very good. I'm just waiting until they come out with a decent hi/lo H4 HID kit. Right now, I think that the movable bulbs or shields are an invitation to failure.

I bet there are bulbs included. There were in mine.

What do you mean an invitation to fail??

I think that with all these moving parts, the MTBF will occur relatively soon. Maybe the shielding gets stuck in the "hi" position, or the moving bulb gets stuck in the "lo" position. The concept is there, but I'm not sure if the technology is there to make it happen. I'll wait until they get the hi/lo thing straightened out first. It's still in it's infancy stage.

I have been using my Hella H4 Hi/Low kit for the last 6 months or more and no problem at all. I think it depends on who made those bulbs. Korean one are sure not to last long !!!

I am working on getting a sample of "GOOD QUALITY" High/Lo HID kits to me by end of the month. We'll see how it goes!
SY

PS. The headlight sets should have the OEM Osram H-4 bulbs in them.. you should try them out side by side with one OEM 9004 and one OEM H-4 bulbs for comparison.

No, I know exactly who Hella is. As far as I know, they didn't make a kit. They are manufacturers of the ballasts. So, to reiterate my question, who makes the kit that uses the Hella ballasts?

Just in case, I needed to clarify . . .

Holy s#it...those are blue...and nice! Hella makes your ballast and your bulb is made in korea.

Can you guys give me the nissan part number for the headlights? Do they still go for 400 shipped?

That picture is crazy, yet cool at the same time!

Can you take some pix of the beam patterns of your H4 HID? Does it have stray lights going everywhere like 9004? The beam pattern from 9004 HID is nasty...

I got mine from Nissan Taiwan (OEM, NOT aftermarket, LHD in taiwan). This headlights are used on the Cefiros in Taiwan which looks so much better then the ones we have on I30 (especially the foggy glass type 96-97).

It is RAINNING here in Vancouver and may last the next whole MONTH. Not possible to take any shot at the beam pattern.

lol.....I was going to pick up a few pairs of the Cefiro headlights when I went back to Taiwan last year, but didnt have time cuz I was there for company's annual meeting... -__-

I'm probably gonna go back again this year, hopefull I'll have enough time to shop around for Cefiro parts.

Lucky you!! I don't even get to go back to Taiwan for the last 6 years (even being a Canadian myself). Damn the Dept of Entry and Exit of Taiwan. Set up stupid laws to prevent TAIWANESE going back to our own contry.

I will sure shop around for stuff that i can put on my I30 if I got back to Taiwan. Darn !!

Yeah, she didn't notice....figures...women. In any case, I came clean and when she did notice the brightness, she was impressed. Luckily, she didn't ask how much they were. I'm very happy with them.

SYCEFIRO provided me with the H4 harness. I would think that you could hit a junkyard, find a car that used H4, and cut them off.

Nah...your previous post said that you were still interested in getting lights from Simon. I thought they were a good fit, so you were going ahead with light project.

When I have time, I'll try and see if they fit. From first glance, it seems as though the parking lamps, bumper cover and grille will have to be modified.
