Can a grill from a '02 I35 be put on an '00 I30?

Can a grill from a '02 I35 be put on an '00 I30?
Are they interchangeable? I have a friend who wants to ditch his ugly '00 grill and go with the newer ones. I woudl suspect so, because the bodies are almost identical, but I don't know.
