**VI is installed and working beautifully....

Took a little over 3hrs to install it. Thank God BriguyMax was willing to help, it would have taken me 2 afternoons doing it myself.

Impressions:

Wow, this is how the VQ was ment to breath. It is so much more fun to drive. It took me a bit to get used to the new found power, I kept bouncing off the Rev limiter(Soon that will be 500rpms higher). It feels odd to just keep pulling and pulling......

I just need to clean up the wires a bit and find a better way to run the power wire into the cabin. Very happy with this mod so far. I will get a chance to do some highway driving tommorrow, I can't wait. 13's here I come

good to hear that you're enjoying your new VI. If everything goes as planned, I should have mine installed by tomorow afternoon.

yes, but you guys have a true VI with dual runners. A little bit better set up than the MEVI for the 4th gen max(1st gen I30). I believe it opens later than 4K. I don't know exactly but it's probably more like 5.5k

Hmm, sounds like if they ever make a chip for the VQ30DE's and VQ35DE's, it will probably lower the engagement point of that a bit.

Not really. There should be a specific point where it is advantagous to switch over to the other runners for high rpm's. At any other point there will be a dip in power that can be seen on a dyno curve. I would think Nissan has it set at the right point. But who knows for sure.
