96 I30t 5-speed...14.6 @ 95mph
Got back from the track a few hours ago. I was very pleased with the outcome. Not just because of my times, but also because there is room for improvement.
Weather was partly sunny, temps between 35-45. There was hardly anyone there so I got as many runs as my heart desired. I think I ended up running almost 20 times.
anyway here is my best run of the day.
60'-2.268
14.680 @ 95.45mph.
This was done with intake, Y-pipe, MEVI, and JWT/ECU.
I still have some room to work with on the 60' foot. I can pull low 2.2's, but I did not on this run. I can see 14.5xx's with this set up.
Best run w/o the ECU was:
60'-2.240
14.822 @ 94.42mph.
We had a good turnout. I believe 8 Maximas and of course just one I30. But the I30 had the second fastest time of all the VQ's
If anyone is interested in Nealoc187's new time with the ECU check the general forum some time tonight, be ready to be impressed!

Nice times Mike! I sure wish I could pull off 60ft times like that!
I think the best 60 ft I've ever gotten has been like 2.389. I'm confident that if I saw 60ft times like yours I'd be in the 14s.
Oh well, another time, another day.
Good job

I ran with Nealoc187's JWT ECU. It was at the end of the day when the temps were droping. It was well below 40 degrees when I made the runs with the JWT ECU, traction was becoming difficult. I had never ran with one before, so I was not sure where my fuel cut off was. In hind sight I was shifting about 200 rpm's early. I also had my 53lb wheel tire combo on the rear.
So considering these few things I could have ran a 14.4-14.5.
Hopefully by the fall I will have the above mentioned mods and will be able to get a 13 sec timeslip. That is my goal this year.
A-Ron: I removed spare, passanger seat and rear bench. The rear bench only weighs about 10lbs, but the passanger seat and spare were at least 100lbs.
Hey there Mike!
WOW! Super! The fastest normaly aspirated i30 perhaps??! Good job!
Update on me...
I still have the GSR and will be running my first autox this Saturday. I will be quitting my job in May and will run my dealership full time. I will have 25-30 cars and a few of those will HAVE to be maximas and i30's. Since I sold my i30 I have gotten 20+ calls on it. SO, I will have at least one VQ again!
Like you said, you will see me in a VQ again...

I hope the dealership works out, that's a petty big jump quiting your job and starting your own business. Good luck.

I am here pretty regularly still, but I rarely post because I just don't have much to say!

Seriouly, Last time at the track I saw a N/N GSR pull high 13's on street tires. I was pretty impressed.
