I have been getting mixed opinions of what to do about the check engine light on my car. My mechanic tells me its nothing to worry about whereas others say have it checked out. If it turns out that there is nothing wrong with the car, then what is the easiest way to reset the light and not pay big bucks to go to the dealership and have it done.

 

Go to the 4th gen forum, look at the threads that say "important" at the top of the forum. There will be one concerning your CEL. It will tell you how to pull the code and clear you CEL.
