if you want a better ride you would need to get a smaller rim. i have 18" too with a 40 profile tire and the ride isn't bad. yeah you'll be able to feel bumps more but putting a 50 series tire isn't is gonna help it'll feel floaty.

well the if you wanna keep the same exact diameter as the stock wheel/tire combo then u need to go with a 235/40/18 tire on your 18x7.5 wheels. the stock diameter is something like 25.3" and that the same height as the 235/40/18 tire. i have a set of racinghart 18x7.5 wheels on my car fitted with 235/40/18 yokohama avs' and it looks nice, while keepin the same wheel/tire height as stock

the stock diameter of my 225/50/17 is 25.9 the 235/50/18 is 27.3.my speedo will only be off by 3.2 mph at 60mph.that dosnt bother me at all.the larger tire will fill out the wheel well a bit more also.my sidewall is only gonna increase bt .2 of an inch.barely noticeable.i dont need a bent rim with too low of a profile, here in ny the roads suck.well i am getting the rims and tires by the end of this week.i will post pics after i get them mounted and balanced.

I heard if your tire diameter is off, either your ABS light might get stuck on or some other indicator light can be messed up. Is that true? If so you may want to reconsider or live with a new light

the diff of only 3 mph wont affect any sensors the tranny will shift into od at 37 mph instead of 40.no big deal.we are not talking about a 10 mph diff here.it realy is no big deal.the only thing is some people might not like the look of the bigger tire.

a 45series sidewall won't be too bad looking. iTs not going to be super lowprofile which is a good thing. (just think about the ride quality on the average road and that will make you be glad you got them.)
