Y- pipe

I've got a 2001 I30t and I'm looking to do some mods to it real soon. I was browsing through here and found out that an Intake/Y-pipe config would perform best for the money I want to spend. My question is, which y-pipe and size should I get? I saw one at warpspeedperformance.com, but I didn't know which one would be best for me. Then the intake, I was thinking about getting a frankencar intake with the apexi filter for $190.

Someone said that the frankencar would give it good sound at WOT. Is this a tacky loud noise like a four banger or is it deeper more like a V8 sound? I'm very conscience of the way my car sounds. I want it to still be a luxury car with more punch then the normal I30t. I'll comprimise a little for the sound, but not a WHOLE lot.

You'll be happy with the frankencar and apexi intake. I have he apexi and think it's great.

A Y-pipe is a Y-pipe is a Y-pipe. I had a bad customer expierence with warpspeed but I hear their products are quality. I believe all Y-pipes are the same size 2.5", although some members have custom made 3" ones for boost reasons. Just get a mandrel bent SS Y-pipe from any of the following, Stillen, cattman, budget, warpseed and you will be happy. Only decision to make is how much $$ you want to drop.
