I30 springs/struts/shocks same as Max?

Hey I30 guys,

Firstly, need answered: I'm on a 1998 Infiniti I30, is the suspension the same as the Maxima same year?

I was thinking about a set of H&R springs combined with Koni Yellows. With the drop etc, how harsh a ride will I be looking at compared to stock? I hear the Koni Yellows on the lowest setting are almost comparable to stock smoothness, but I'd imagine I'd have to highten the setting for dropped springs.

How about ground controls? Are those safe? I live in Toronto -- Canada and I'd love to be able to lift it for winter and put it down for summer ... Someone mentioned irl that these gc's can drop if you put too much weight or stop very fast -- ie/ go from 3" high to 0" and who knows what you might break in the process. Am I better off just getting the H&Rs?

Any opinions/comments?

Thanks,
InfiniSteve

Yes, year for year the suspension is the same on the Max as the I30.

Opinions vary greatly on spring and strut combo's. I would read old posts to gather the most info(search). If possible try and find some org. members in your area to get a ride in their lowerd cars to see what you like for yoursef.

In general, when you lower the car the ride is not going to be as soft. Especially with GC coil overs.
