I30 tails...are they interchangable?

Are A32 1996 I30 tails and the 1998 tails interchable? I may buy a 1996 but i hate the yellow and red and want to replace the tails with the cefiro clear and red outside tails and oplique....will it fit without mods? Thanks

Yes, they are interchangable. I kept my ugly 97 tails and cleared them out.

Don't get the 98/99 ones, get the ones on my car.

They are clear all the way to the end and they're not too hard to find. Didn't cost an arm and a leg either and makes my car look alot newer. BTW...it's a 96. Check out the other pics of it at www.cardomain.com/id/i30touring

louis...I remember talking to you about a year or more ago....I just started coming to the board again. Well, I am still looking for a manual I30! might have found one though....finally! I like the clear/red outer tails and the cefiro oplique...not sure what year they are on....like yours but not the infiniti oplique, the all red one.

Meaning, if you go tthe 98-99 rear lights route, you'll need the 98-99 oplique as well. Then the lights line up correctly. Don't miss and match. Well, I think that's what Mike meant.

is there not a 98-99 oplique that says cefiro on it? I was thinking of the Ichikoh 4785 Oplique w/ the Ichikoh 4785 taillights...since they have the same stock number, I assumed they fit together....

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=237577 ---check that for pics of the cefiro assemblies. The 98/99 stuff is hard to find at a bone yard, I got lucky and found a 99 oplique in the trash, so I just had to buy the tails. Maxmojo's price on the cefiro stuff will probably be better than just buying the 98/99 stuff new.
