Seems my Maxima is a I30/I35...

After looking at some pics (and seeing them in person while in NJ last month), it seems that the Maxima's sold in New Zealand (and Australia) are actually American I30's/I35's. Well, at least they look like it, the I30's/I35's have the same back as the NZ Maxima, and the corner lights are in the same spot as on the NZ Max.
Does anyone have the width of their Infinity handy so I can confirm this?

I'll get a pic from the back tomorrow and post it, for interests sake

From what I have seen the only place you'll see a Nissan Maxima, as we know it, is here in the states. Everywhere else they are Maxima's that look like I30. Or you could say that we have I30's that look like Maxima's, at least the one's in Australia or New Zealand. But we can all say that we have I30 and Maxima's that look like Cefior's.

It's a little confusing, but my point being that the US I30 is more of a Maxima then the US Maxima. Anybody get what I am saying???

Here's a pic of my Maxima from the front:

And the Back:

Excuse the ding on the left of the bumper, it got me a discount when I brought the car

Seriously, if you wanted NZ parts, I let me know and I can look into it for you

We have the Cerfiro here in NZ as well exactly the same as our Max's, unlike the Cerfiro's though, I think (not certain though) our Maxima's are made in Australia. Our 2004 Max is going to be a re-badged Nissan Teana from Japan, so its likely that it may also become the US I30/I35...

Nice it looks just like our I30 (1997 model perhaps because of the rear lights). If not for the maxima badges and bumpers I might have mistaken it.

Do you have wood trim inside? I'm looking for a passenger side control panel for my car so that I can have a windows/doors control for the passenger ... On the passenger side here all we have is window up and down, but perhaps since you're right hand side, I could get a wood trim NZ driver's side window/door control, and hook it up to the passengers side to be the same as the drivers side.

Anyone else do this (passenger side lock/windows) mod?

If in NZ they have wood trim and the same controls like our window/door control I'd be very interested if you could pick one up for me?

No, mine doesn't have the wood trim, but I have seen ones that do. I'll make some calls and see if I can get hold of one . Is it just this part that you want:

Yes that's the part! Let me know if you find a wood trim one, I think that mod would be sweet! My main issue is the door lock for safety.. for example if I leave the car and the passenger locks all doors so no one can get in (which pressing the door lock actually does), but then when I come back the passenger should be able to let me back in without having to reach over to my side or me having a second set of keys

I think that'd be a cool feature, what do you guys think?

Drew96I30 -- why would it be hard? Just curious I'm not very good with wiring, but a friend of mine is not too bad at that stuff ... He might be able to figure it out. Could we just link them together somehow through the drivers side?
