Ok, I feel stupid for asking this but, what is a "sig"? I have seen this term thrown around quite a bit and was just wondering what it means. This and Wip or Whip. Where did these come from?

 

sig = signature or the way a member signs his post

wip <=== have NO idea

whip = slang for "car" lol...unless I'm missing something lol

Sig definitely makes sense but where the hell did Whip come from? Ive been trying to think of ways to connect the word to something automotive but am lost. Who makes these things up ?
