I35 Brake Upgrades

Personally I think the braking system blows ***** on the I35. What has anyone done for upgrades that have made a nice difference. My I35 has 30k on the clock and I think it's near time for an upgrade.

Who offers slot/cross drilled rotors, what are the pads you guys are having the best performance luck with? (logevity would be nice as well). What above the G35 Brebo system, any way to integrate that?

You had better ask the 5th gen maxima guys. Don't know of any I35's who have upgraded.

You should look into the G35 brembo's but it would be expensive. It may fit w/o too much modification or non at all. From what I have been told cross drilled and slotted rotors are just for show and would only be beneficial in extreme track conditions, not for every day use. I would try going to a better performing pad first before throwing down the money for a whole upgrade.

Wouldn't the I35 have the same upgrades as a maxima. I heard cross drilled rotors any rotors that are upgraded make braking louder.

Not everything is the same.

Just a warning. I purchased brembo brake rotors for a 2002 maxima to put on my I35. I purchased them from NOPI via a link from the 5th gen board after being told by several 5th gen maxima ppl that they are the same and would work. I got the rotors, the box said they were for a 2002 maxima but guess what, they didnt fit. I had to send them back and get a refund. So I have now learned NOT to buy 2002 Maxima parts and expect them to fit the I. As similar as these 2 cars are. NOT everything is the same.

brembo makes a big brake kit. I think its around $2500

rotor up grades are mostly for show. New pads would make a difference. try porterfield R4S compound pads. Awesome pad. Don't even dust real bad.
