it was about 4000, but it includes the DVD player, the pioneer nav with that touch screen, all the fiberglass, a reverse camera where the keyhole was in the trunk, and they removed the sunglass holder and fiberglassed in XM radio controls.
I've used nav in a ton of cars and the aftermarket ones are always better. Even high end cars like mercedes and bmw don't have good systems. As for the after market the pioneer nav is the best I've used, the kenwood is a little complicated, the alpine doesn't have as many points of interest. I've had both the older nav (avic-9) and this which is the newest (avic-80 i think) both have tons of restaurant listings and gas stations (in reasonably populated areas) but they added tons of business phone numbers to this new model so you can do a search typing in just about any business number and it will nav you to it.
Now for the dislikes, the newer nav is touch screen (which is awesome) but it means that you have to use either the touch screen or voice commands to access most of the functions and the remote control is very basic so if your like me and use the remotes more it takes some time to get used to it.
as for that pricing, the nav with the touch screen was 1600, that by itself will play DVD's I wanted to add the extra dvd player so that boosted the price, plus the reverse camera and xm radio. If you wanted that nav with no fancy fiberglass or any of those extras you could prolly get it installed for like 300 or so, and at 1900 bucks it beats any factory nav hands down.

Lookg GREAT! That is actually how I have always envisioned my set up looking!! (you beat me to it lol) Where did you mount the actual DVD unit? And can you take some pics of the satellite radio install? That is a great install though...FOR REAL!!
I am jealous
The brain for the nav is under the passanger's seat, perfect place for it. here is the XM install. The unit looks a lil cruddy cause thats a pic taken during install. Any more questions email me at taylor@lauber.com
