i didnt like the single map light on the stock I30. its annoying when the passenger turns on the light when im driving at night. so i changed it to the one in the I35 model. it just took a few minor modification for it to fit and for the moon roof to work.

Nice. What mods did you have to do to make it fit? Or was the mod only for the sunroof switch to work?

Also I am currently researching if the I35 BOSE 6 CD changer with RDS would also fit on the 2nd gen I30. All the plugs on the back are the same, and upon looking it seems like it'd physically fit but I haven't taken measurements.

Anyone care to take measurements on their I35?

 

i had to cut the roof lining to make a bigger hole since the console is bigger than the I30 and replace the sunroof switch with the one on the I30. the I35 switches didnt work for some reason.

 

Looks pretty good except for the switch on the left...but that could just be the picture making it look odd. Either way good work! I hat my single map light as well.

 

that the problem it doesnt fit and is loose inside...im going to find something to hold it down when i have time
