Hood Bra for 96-99 I30- Anyone have any pics?

For $29 it is not a bad deal. I have a few rock chips on the hood and want to cover them until I get the $ to get them painted later this summer.

They must not be popular on the I30 because I can never remeber seeing an I30 on the street or a picture on the org.

THey are abotu $30 in JC Whitley, and I figure to cover the rock chips on the i30 it is not a bad deal. I just wanted to see how much airflow they block up front in the grille area. i was wondering if they have a cut-out that the "down" portion of the hood goes through, or whether the cover extends over and in front of the grille itself.

Now that I sold the Maxima bra, I will just buy the i30 one and see for myself.

I dont think it is a question of airflow blockage. The problem I see is that it is constantly rubbing on the finnish and debris could easily become caught between the bra and the paint.

I bought a custom LeBra from JCWhitney a couple of weeks ago for my 96 I30... It came last Friday and I wasn't too impressed with it - it wasn't of decent leather grain vinyl, didnt fit nice and snug and had a LeBra logo imprinted on the top.

I could actually only get the top part on and there is a mesh cover that extends over the grille. There is also mesh on the bottom part extending over the lower portion of the car which would block airflow if it was not mesh. I don't know which bra you found for 29 bucks, but I would not recommend the LeBra. I'm going to return it ASAP but if I put it back on my car for a second try I'll take a picture and e-mail it to you.

If you could take a pic of only the top part (installed) and send it to me (phenryiv1@cs.com) I would really appreciate it. I can post it here so that others can see, just in case they are considering the same thing.

As for the one I was looking at, I am not sure who it was by, but it was just the hood portion. It may be LeBra- I will have to check. It probably is.

Hey man, sorry I never got back to you about this. The bra is sitting in my garage all packaged up waiting to be shipped back to JCWhitney... I would have taken the pictures before I repackaged it but my buddy has my digital camera. I'll try and get it back from him and put it on again, but like I said before, I think it'll look lousy since it wouldn't fit snug anyway.

I got the 3M clear bra on my I35. I dont have to worry about it fading paint and has a liftime warrenty on it. It covers the front of the car and also covers the back side of the mirrors. It is a good investment compared to touching up your car.

True, but if the chips are already there, you have to get it painted first. I want something to cover it until I can get the money together to paint it.

Thanks for the tip, though!
