help, I30 has mind of its own!!
When i dirve the car it runs fine and idles great but when I put it into park or reverse after driving it for an extended period of time the rpm's shoot strait up to about 4500 until I cut the ignition. Please any suggestions to what this might be.

take it to the dealer your car may need a computer upgrade. my moms car gets upgrades all the time, your chips may need it or sumthing. parts may need to be replaced. take it to the dealer and let them run a diag on it, they'll be able to find the problem

Maybe, Idle Controler?....
Dealer or a local mechanic would be my best bet...
