Evap system and knock sensor all went at once? Can one be the reason for the other codes to show up?
Thanks!

My "Service Engine Soon" light also came on a couple of days ago. I called the dealer and they said it should go off after a few trips and that it was most likely because the gas filler cap was loose (which it wasnt). Unfortunately, its still on so I'm debating whether to take it to the dealer. I'm hoping it will just turn off. I would be interested in getting my error codes though. That would help me troubleshoot more. Are you getting them from a dealer?

you 2k+ guys who can't pull their own codes can just go to autozone and they will pull them for you for free. If you really want to turn the CEL off there is info on that in the 5th gen forum FAQ's

I got codes in my wife's car. The dealership fixed it for free because it was covered under warranty. They had to reprogram the ECU.
Regarding checking your own codes...it's much easier to go to Auto Zone. They can even "clear" it for you if you want them to. You just have to have a place to look up the different codes.
