Well, my 97 Maxima console arrived Tuesday night. I pulled out the I30 console, removed the change holder and seat heater switches, and went to work with the knife to install the switches in the 97 max console. On top of that, I cut out a place to put the single change holder in the 97 Max console, which did not have this option.

It is installed and all is well with it. I HATED the 95-96 Maxima (96-97 I30) consoles. WHY did Nissan/Infiniti pawn those last Maxima consoles off on their "luxury" division?

I will post pics for anyone else who wants to do this mod.

$50 shipped. Last one (in the 96 Max) was $60 shipped. They are just hard to find, and they are big so shipping is not cheap.

Pat, I did the same thing, but I didn't add the coin holder. It didnt' make sense. I live in NYC, and with one pothole, all the quarters would jump out.

 

Ange (97MaxGurl) had an extra one. Best way to find them is just watch the forsale forum for someone parting out.

 

I had it sitting around, so I used it. I may never put anything IN it, but at least it is there. How are things working out with your rims? Did you sell the extra 17"s yet?

 

Yeah, the extra 17's had been shipped to SoCal from the original seller in AZ. Not a bad deal. Quick and easy and I made a couple of bucks.

well, they're still for sale, and im still trying to get in touch with Simon to see what the deal is with his lights. but i should still be down to sell them whenever youre ready.

 

It will still be another couple of weeks on my end. PM me what you think that the final price will be. The smoked ones go for different prices, so a conversion ov value is difficult. Are yours OEM? I forget.
