Why not just use some 3" PVC, or the pipe that came with the intake? Use a marker and draw around it.

Or did you mean for the placement of the hole? Maybe hook it up up-side-down, with the elbow turned up, to find the best place for the hole?

 

i meant for the placement..

 

i have the same cai, and i used the "shop talk" how to. i enlarged & printed out the pic of the template in place. i used the pic to plot where to mark for the hole. i drew a circle around the end of the tube , center punched the circle , then drilled a 3.25 in. hole. it worked for me . no problems.
