Low Gas Indicator light not working :(

Hi everyone,
I have a 1996 I30 and I noticed that my gas indicator light (on the gas guage) never comes on no matter how low I am on gas. I noticed it a year or so ago and even changed the bulb for that indicator, but it still does not come on.

Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know what the problem might be?

Thanks for your help everyone. Have a great day!

try this: turn ur key to the position right before start i think its called aac2 or something its the one where all your dash lights come on. see if the light comes on. if it doesent you might have a bad censor, or an electrical problem but try that if all else fails try taking it to an elictrician or a mechanic maybe they know.

Thanks for the suggestion Mike I302K I will try that and let you know what happens. I think I may have to take it to the shop though. Damn!

Thanks again.
