Help. Buying decision

I am debating whether or not to keep my weary 1995 Maxima and put some work into like a paint job, replace the non-working Bose stereo, and some other upgrades. Or my other choice would be to trade that in for a 2000 I30t that i would be getting for a very good deal because my dad is friends with the main manager at the dealership. im not aware of exactly how good of deal although i will likely know in the next day or two, but i imagine it would be sub $10g's with the trade in of the 95max.

the I30t has 75k and my maxima has 133k. Do you think it is worth paying for the i30, in which i would have to make monthly payments or just keep the max which i own. i want leather which the i30 has and my max does not. plus i wouldnt have to pay money for new paint, stereo, rims, etc. I suppose this is more my decision but what i'm looking for is people to either talk me into it or convince me it's not worth the extra money and i should keep the max.

I'd appreciate any thoughts on the matter as i find it harder and harder to make any kind of major purchase decision now a days without consulting the good people of the internet. THANKS.

I think 95 max is little too old to have all the fun you'd have in I30 :-) Remember all the bells n whistles I30 comes with, ride being the same but lot better coz it's relative new vehicle ... but i was wondering who'd put 75k in 3~4 years ...

I own a 96 Maxima GXE and a 2000 I30. Their diferrence is basically the one between 4th Generation and 5th Generation. I still like 96 Maxima but it has high mileage (126K) and there are some issues to be fixed that have been going on for about two years. I30 (bought it at 27K miles) has some minor issues to be resolved but I fixed it recently under warranty and didn't cost me at all.

If I didn't have to maintain two, I would have sold 96 Maxima, bought I30 and never regretted.
