pics of my latest install...
Well, I finished putting on new two toned leather on the front buckets a few days ago. I was amazed to see how close the colors of the tan and dark brown were matched to the rest of the interior!! The old leather was not even that worn but, the new leather makes the car's interior feel brand new.
The quality of the new stuff is far superior to the factory leather, being thicker and softer. In fact, it feels like sitting in a new Lexus or Infiniti at an auto show, and the seats feel more bolstered due to thicker insulation underneath the leather!

The installation was not that hard at all and it was pretty easy to figure out. It was simply a matter or removing the seat, then taking off the old hog rings attached to the factory leather, re-hogringing the new leather to the cushion and finally reassembling.
The new leather is so nice that originally I had planed on leaving the back leather alone because it was mint but now I really want to do it as well! The only problem is, they dont make a fit specifically for the i30, so I have to convert to the Maxima upper rear cushion which has integrated head rests. The front leather is $550 and the back leather is only $100.

To the rest of you: I apologize for my lack of computer skill. This is my first attempt at something like this. I signed up for that free MSN webspace to hold the pics, and they appear fine on this thread for me. They also appear if I log out and view the thread. I will try cardomain so you guys can see the seats they look really great.

Then paste the URL inside of the brackets and everyone can enjoy them without signing up to the oh, so very annoying 50 MSN popups that are begging you to sign up.

Also, I signed up for crappy ol' cardomain and when I go to the update page option, and attempt to upload a picture, I get a "Page Cannot Be Displayed" message, so I don't know what else to do.
I will try to find another way to make this work so you guys can see these pictures.
