Interesting discovery

ok well.. i have discovered that after you re-wire your fogs.. it supplies almost enough light to drive at night with.,. and looks rather gangster to drive with only the fogs on.. now the question is? how do you rewire your cornering lights to stay on ALL the time.. ( the lights right next to fogs) i want them on with the fogs all the time.. rather than just when i turn the blinker on? any ideas on how to do this.. or a how-to would be Great!!!

Don't drive with just your fogs on. I don't care how "gangster" you think it looks, you're only endangering your life and the innocent lives of others. Fogs do NOT provide enough down-the-road illumination for adequate vision at night. They are meant to be accompanied by a low-beam.

The corner light rewire is in the 4th Gen Mod FAQs.

Unless your grandmother is 20 years old then your label is misplaced.

Fog lights were designed by lighting engineers (people with degrees and practice lighting as a career) and meant to function as an auxillary lamp only.

Hopefully Darwinism will take care of you and nobody else.

It is still unlawful to operate a motor vehicle after dusk without dual-beam headlights. Driving or fog lights do not meet legal criteria.

your point? its not like at night when its COMPLEATLY dark out ( pitch black) i use only fogs.. im talking streets with overhead lights and lots of them.. dusk... or sunrise.. it just looks cooler then.. and im thinking durring those times yeah the corner lights would be pointless to have on.. but at night when it is really dark out and headlights ARE ON! it would be nice to have the extra 45 degrees of sight around both sides of the car.. if you see where im going with this

your an idiot and I'm glad your not living in my neighbourhood, saves me the risk of you bumping in to me cause you could't see mee on time. If I ever would get involved in an accident cause somebody is so stuppid to not provide himself with adequate lightning and damage my baby in this stuppid act, I would beat the sh*t out of him till he would stop breathing! Then I would reanimate him and bet the f00l up gain

Peace, Mitch

Even then, if you are not running your "running" lights, you have no tail illumination. Is is still dangerous. it is one thing to do this for pictures, and another thing to drive like that in the real world.

My fogs are modded to come on w/ or w/o the running lights or headlights. I was just mentioning that. You don't have to be defensive- we are just trying to keep you safe and ticket free.

OK, where are the moderators that should do their jobs when it needs to be done????? This is what I don't get, a dumb thread such as this can keep on going when clearly it jeopardizes peoples safety. Yet a thread about something that will not injure someone intentionally (chrome wheels) can spark a huge debate over an opinion and cause moderators to come out of the wood works???? Lets do the world a favor and shut this down!

Thank you for your concern. Did you not read my posts? Do you see what color my name is? BLUE. Did you look at the main page on the forum? Who are the moderators? I30tMikeD and MYSELF. I have been monitoring the thread all along. I posted why it was a dumb idea, posted suggestions, and let the general public decide for themselves what was the best course of action. Anyone who cannot tell what the right thing is to do should not be driving. I am not going to lock the thread, because the idea of a fog-light rewire is a good thingg. Running it at dusk/dark/dawn w/o headlights is dumb.

(Edit- in the event that you are on an AOL or CS browser, I will excuse the fact that my username does NOT show in blue)

Please delete the other FIVE of your threads. I am sure that you did not do it on purpose, but clean up your own messes, please. I am not the maid.

There is a minimum age requirement on the org.

People can spell. Sometimes, we just don't care because we are in a hurry.

Get off your high horse. We have no impact on what this guy chooses to do with his lights. You don't mod this forum and you have no say what gets locked and what doesn't, if you have a problem with the way this forum is monitored then send our admin a PM with a formal complaint about me or patrick. No need to try and call me out in public becaue it will get you anywhere.

way to regulate guys!

I think this thread has gone off its focus (trying to point out to that guy just how dangerous and illegal his idea was)...getting back on track....I30Swimmer, it is nothing less than illegal to drive without headlights...4 wheelers cant drive at night with their off road lights, cars cant drive at night with only their fog lights. Thats just the law of the land....

As was said before, do as you please, but dont say nobody warned you when you get pulled over cause you didnt see the cop or you hit a kid cause you didnt see him crossing...

LOL, man please I30. What a joke. I am not calling you out. I am stating a fact. A clear fact at that, which is this thread is going no where thus needs to be closed. Did I say I am a moderator?? No, so where did you feel it was neccessary to address me deciding what gets closed?? But now thanks to your comment, we are getting somewhere. There is dumb flaming here just as there was dumb flaming on the other threads (aka chrome wheels, tires, body kits, etc). Its a matter of "OPINION" what gets dealt with. Its a matter of opinion which side some moderators here view things. Thus meaning, its a matter of opinion for some moderators to close a thread as well. This said, you have shown how the moderators do allow personal opinions to get in the way of sound judgement. For instance, where you may think its pointless to talk about larger wheels and customizing for style, others think its pointless to discuss fog lights as a main lighting source. But since you are a moderator and should have sound judgement for crap versus good discussion, you should see this thread has no merit or point?
In the past, I have PM'd you and Patrick and offered to help you guys police these forums to prevent garbage like this from being on the boards. If this guy is dumb enough to drive with only foglights on, hey sucks to be him when something happens. Just as if someone wants to ride 24" wheels on their I30, hey sucks to be them when something happens.

Well I am done with this matter. Just for future reference,
don't attempt tell me what can and can not get somewhere. In reality, this convo has gotten us somewhere. I have got the chance to disspell truth of how people really operate on this forum, and you have seen that everyone here is not on the same accord thus a moderators job is to filter through the garbage and keep the boards clean. Difference is always a good thing.

Well, since I was not even a moderator until last week, I have not been on here to police anything but signature pics. With that said, I see to some degree where you are coming from, but if you read my responses, I was trying to steer things back towards the original questions asked in this thread- some of which were valid.

Now, to the issue at hand- it is fine that you disagree with how I/we moderate this forum. I am still new to the moderator thing, and thus open to communication. Regarding your conduct in this post, I am fine being criticised, but like many members on here, you chose to lash out at the posts with which you do not agree, but did NOT even bother to reply to my post 6 posts up. First, had you read it, you might have a better view of my feelings on this tthread. Second, you would have seen my kind request to remove or delete the SIX posts that you made that were duplicates. I will say it again: Please delete the other FIVE of your threads. I am sure that you did not do it on purpose, but clean up your own messes, please. I am not the maid.

To start, I did not see your remark and was not replying to you. But to comment on your post, I have kindly cleaned it up. I admit to my mistake. It was not that difficult to do. But you see what you have just done? Its something that has needed to be done on these boards for a while, moderate. I myself moderate forums with other interest for my company I work for. That is the reason I am so "on a high horse" so to speak. I take being a moderator as meaning I am granted real responsibility to ensure every person thats a member of the fourm follows the guidelines and rules. Its nothing personal, but its my job on those boards. Just as it is your job here. (new or vet) Whether you are compensated or simply do it for fun, moderators are in a sense suppose to live in the boards they moderate. Think of it as surveillance.

I did not make the high-horse comment, so i never meant any sort of disrespect to you. And abotu the 6x post- I know that it was the server that caused that. Anyway, I think that we are on the same page about this, but often when we type out our thoughts they come out sideways. Anyway, thanks for caring enough to try to keep this place on the right track.
