Hey guys- Well i just traded in my Modded 02 QX4 for a 04 I35 Diamond Graphite w/ Navigation. Anyway, I miss my truck but, I love the i35. I had some mods on my Qx4 and I am ready to mod the I35. I noticed the search feature is dead, so I guess asking me to search is out of the question

First off, I want the clear bumper lenses. I read the faqs guide but, it doesn't list an online store or place that sell the lenses. Next question, I had a frakencar Intake in my QX4 and i wonder how do you guys feel about them in the maxima/I35. Third Question is exhaust. I like have double tailpipes, however, I want them to stick straight out instead of in the downwards postion. Are there any good exhaust for the I35, sort of like the Remus exhaust look or like the magnaflow SS series?

Welcome! Where in the DC Metro area do you live?

Paradox is a good place to start for the clears and other accessories. As far as exhaust, you really want to poke around in the 5th Gen Maxima forums. I don't knwo if they have duals developed as of yet, but I woudl suspect that they do. There are some I30 (5th Gen) and I35 guys in here who are more up on your body/drivetrain than am I.

About the Frankencar, they are well-respected in the I35/3.5 Maxima community. As a matter of fact, the guys who designed them own a 5th gen Maxima, so that is where they got their start.

Hey kalbundy, thanks for repling. I was waiting for someone to chime-in so I can place an order this week. I saw your car in the faq section, it looks really nice, love the obsidian black color.

What kind of intake does everyone use? Does one company do better than the other? Does AEM make an intake for the I35? I know injen does, and frankencar. I am wondering who gets best performance the I35, short-ram or true CAI.

Yeah I was wondering about the frakencar Intake because it sounded very nice in my QX4 and Scott and Steve have been very helpful to me. I would like to reorder one, but I was just wondering if there was one that gave better performance than their's (not saying I don't like the Frankencar Intake). And for the dual exhaust, I did guess i worded that wrong. I don't want two pipes on each side of the car, just one Muffler with dual exhaust tips. Anyway thanks for repling! Look forward to going to some meets if you guys have any.

5mt- I WISH! Nah it's not. I got a steal of a deal for it and for an 01 with low miles I couldn't pass it up. SR20 forum sponsors and links have the 5spd transmission for 600 and less. I am going to swap it when I recieve the SR20VE (when the company get's it in stock) then it will be 5spd. Man I invest to much money into cars, and mods. Now I have two cars to mod. I just finished modding the QX4 and now back to square one.

I know exactly where you are at. My coworker used to live in Overlook back in those really expensive city homes. Down the street from the uhaul. I travel to virginia often, I work in DC and seldom travel out that way to meet clients. Do we have a big VA/DC/DC community on this board?
