My i30t is that champagine mommy's car color, but i still love it, and its cleaner than anyone's around..Anyway, wonderin how it would look if i blacked out the grille like FBI Crown Victoria style, and black chromed the rear emblems, along with gunmetal colored rims?? not sure, but cant quite get the pic in my head before i go ahead with it, also smoked cefiro or regular cefiro 1-piece headlights??

btw, WHEN THE F>*$ is that stupid "i need to read the FAQ BLAH BLAH" goin to dissappear????

When you get a reply let me know too. I got an 04 i35 with smoke headlights, gunmetal or blackchrome (what lexus calls it) emblems would be nice. They will look really nice with my diamond graphite color. Lexus has them, I saw some on a ls430 and Is300 the other day, i wonder why infiniti never offered them.

IMO-- Gunmetal and black rims, look good on darker cars only. I would go with a nice Alloy or even a nice chrome....

X the idea of a black grille... I nice chrome grille would set the car off... The cefiro horizontal is nice

I have the same color I30 as you and I'm always trying to think of things that keep it classy and clean looking as well. I thought about painting my stock grille black as well, but went with the A32 Cefiro grille from Paradox Systems instead. I also think you should stick with polished wheels -- shiny rims on our color is better I think.

I might spring for one piece headlights soon now that business is taking off, but I've only seen the regular ones on pebble beige I30's and they looked decent, especially with the Cefiro grille. Good luck.

Hey I'm "pebble beige" too.... more power to ya!! Definitly go with the gunmetal rims and emblems on that color. Darker rims and emblems provide the perfect amount of offset to a lighter color like the tan. It's kinda like how dark tinted windows look really good with our color!

I recently got Motegi 17 inch gummental DP6 rims and they look damned nice!!

I do but they are all frontal shot pics, no side shots yet. I don't have a digital camera so I have to arrange to borrow one from a friend to take pics and post them. I will try to get the camera so I can show the gunmental rims.

Also, I am droping the ride 1.5 of an inch this weekend using 5 way adjustable tokico illumina struts with CE lowering springs so I'll get some pics of that!

I personally like dark rims on light cars and light rims on dark cars. Black or white can run anything.

For you, I would say bronze or gunmetal, or silver with a nice lip. The problem with your color is that anything (except chrome) will look okay, but nothing really looks great. Everything really look kind-of out of place.

No offense to most of you PB owners- I had a PB max and had the same problem. I went through 3 sets of rims and was not thrilled with any of them.

You're right, my search for new wheels has been a pain because very few will look good on PB. I've actually seen a few that do look good, but out of my current price range. I loved the wheels I bought that don't fit, but I wish I could find a set of touring wheels...

In my opinion, there's only so much you can do to a PB I30 or Maxima before it starts to look stupid. Then again, that goes for any color at some point, right...

You can buy a grille that looks just like that w/o the Infiniti logo. It will fit the 96-99 models.

I'll sell you my 15 in bbs style touring rims when i decide to purchase rims, w/or with out tires--bridgestones with like 85% tread left...they are supposedly lighter than the other multispoke rims that come with the Base I30, and do have a polished lip..

I bet you could take a huge I35 emblem and add it to your 96-99 cefiro grille, glue or metal ties...

My stock 25 spoke chrome rims weigh a hell of a lot more than 16 lb. They probably weigh in at 30 lbs.

No, they're the stock I30t housings with the amber plastic turn signal piece removed. The Angel eye headlights that are available are halogen headlamps - so if you have OEM HID, I'd pass on them.

Well, I have a few of the things you mentioned on my car, you should check out my homepage...it's in the middle of being re-done. I love my blacked out grille, and it will look a lot better when I install my blacked out Cefiro lights. My car is silver, so I love the look of my gunmetal rims. I'm not sure how that would look on a PB I30.

That is a blacked-out horizontal grille, right? Not the OEM vertical...

How is your taillight tint holding up?

As far as I know they came with the car. I have seen the same style of rim on the 1st gen, but they were not chrome like mine.

Nah, the grille is an OEM grille with the bars cut out and mesh put in. If only I had known before I paid $250 for it

Taillight tint is still perfect....

With all of this cefiro grill talk, does anyone know where I could pick up a grille like in I30ds's post?

It would look killer with my rims.
