Everyone, I know we have a rim and tire section on the org and I have posted there as well, but I wanted to get the I30/I35 guys and girls opinions and don't know how many of you look in the other section.

Please give me your opinion on the following rims. The more I look at them, the more I like them for some reason. Remember, they would be going on my BLACK on BLACK infiniti I30.

Thanks for your opinions everyone and have a great night.

Also, if anyone can tell me if this is a quality rim, i would appreciate it as well since I don't know anything about rim quality.

No Go
They look like racing wheels, kinda of what you put in a black sports car.
Then it will look decent. Otherwise takes the classiness of the I30s smooth lines.

I have to say no-go as well. I mean, they are not terrible, but I think that you can find something better matched to the I30.

Sounds good everybody. I really appreciate the honest opinions.

Can anyone recommend some rims that will not break the bank that you think look good on the Black on Black I30? I don't need the best or great rims. Just something that looks nice and will last me.

Again, thanks for all your help. I need to replace my 4 tires soon and would like to get rims with tires at that point.

What size are you looking for? Do you want black or gunmetal rims? Check out the other rims thread on the I30/I35 page- the Rota rims that he linked to have some good designs at nice prices. Rota are nice rims that won't break the bank.

Also, try eBay. Once you know the proper specs, it is not hard to find good rims.

Well, I was originally thinking Chrome, but now I am thinking something in a shinny alloy or whatever they call it. I know nothing about rims! Maybe some very shinny rims that do not look pimp, but look more classy. I really like the BMW wide lip rims and would love some rims with lip if that's possible? Any thoughts?

I think I would like 17in or 18in max.

I will check out both of the place you mentioned.

I think you should go with black rim with wide spokes and a polished 1"+ lip

Much better
Those rims are a lot better, your black I30 is gonna look nice.
But you probably want to think about lowering the car, otherwise the car is gonna have a huge wheel gap like mine.

OK, I just got off the phone with Discount Tire and the guy said that the can put a package together for this rim http://www.discounttiredirect.com./...=006108&yr=1996
with Falcon ZE512 all season tires for the following:

18in = $1,093 shipped

OR

17in = $899 Shipped

They include everything, balancing, lugh nuts, rim, tire, and some ring. I don't know what he said the ring was maybe rim ring or something. In any case, he said no tax in VA, free freight, and when they arrive to my door, I take them out, put them on and drive away. All ready to go.

Is that a good deal???

Thanks Luigi38. I like your car, looks sweet. I am thinking seriously about getting these rims. I like them a lot. The only thing is I may go with 17 instead of 18 because of the price. uggg.

Go for 18s man
i know $$$ can be a big issue, but if you are already spending madd $$$. might as well just go out loud w/ 18. Plus our cars are big sedans and with 18 is gonna look bas a$$.

It is a hubcentric ring- it centers the rim on the hub and prevents lug shear.

What size tires was he including?

2 things- 18" tires will wear out fast, cost a lot to replace, and will ride pretty rough on the local roads. Also, the low-pro tires don't do a great job protecting the rim during pothole season...

Luigi-

What did you do with the OEM rims?

Are you looking for lowering springs (cheap)?

This is the tire that was included. http://www.vulcantire.com/ze512_t.htm

So, if I want a smooth and quiet ride, then I should go for 17in rims right?

The original factory rims are 15in correct?

I know what tires they are- I have a set. The question is about the SIZE. Youdon't want them to include a narrow or extra-skinny tire for that price, or it will look and ride like crap.

I use the other set of rims as my winter tires.
Yes I am actually looking for springs. PM if you have any.

Thanks.
